The North Face Khumbu jacket is awesome! The length of the sleeves and body are very good. It runs very true to size and is wonderfully soft. It's made with a good quality fleece which adds to its warmth. I bought the white with grey sleeves which is a more expensive look but it was well worth the price. I definitely recommend this jacket.

Wen I first received this jacket, I loved it. However, after wearing it several times, somehow the back stretched and got a whole in it. The material is extremely stretchy and can tear easily. I still love the jacket but would be weary about purchasing another one.

I bought a medium in Brunette Brown and it fits me rather large. I previously ordered The North Face Morningside jacket in a medium and it was tight in the chest area so I figured I at least needed medium in the Khumbu jacket as well. However, I probably would have liked a small better. I am 5'2, 120 lbs, wear a size 4 in jeans, if that helps. The Khumbu jacket is very soft and comfy, a good weight for weather in the 35-55 degree range. If it got much colder or windy outside, I'd want a more wind resistant one. The quality is excellent with nice solid zippers and pulls. The fleece is of fairly good quality but I think it is going to start pilling before I even wash it the first time. I bought my husband a TKA Echo Full Zip jacket and his fleece is more dense and of a higher quality with an almost velour-like feel to it. The Khumbu is more of an average fleece IMO. The price was good on sale for a North Face jacket so I still gave it a high rating. I would recommend it if you don't want a tight fitting jacket like some of the others. The Khumbu will give you more room in the chest, arms and hip areas. The logo on the chest and back is a nice touch too. Some might not want to show off a brand name but I think it gives you somewhat of an ego boost. When I see one on somebody else, I think, "Hey that's a North Face jacket, I wish I had one." Go ahead and order one if you have been thinking about it like I was. You won't be sorry. I plan on ordering another one soon in a different style like the Windwall Rampart Jacket. Happy Trails!

I had been looking for a North Face jacket for a while and when I saw this deal I couldn't resist. I have the hooded fur vest but it fits snug so I figured I would order this fleece in an XL. The jacket is very warm but I could have used it in a size large. I am keeping the jacket because I can add layers underneath if needed. Great jacket to run to the mall and not have to lug a heavy coat.

The website was very easy to use. We were looking for a jacket that fit long but was still fitted and not too wide. This jacket fit a tall, slender girl very well. It is warm and the quality is excellent - it is a North Face! Because the color of the jacket is being discontinued, I was able to purchase it at a VERY reasonable price. It will last for years!

This is very soft and cozy. The fleece is good quality and doesn't pill. Very light weight but keeps the chill away. I am 5' and 130 lbs and ordered a medium. It fits perfectly fine. The sleeves are a bit long but still fine for me. The color I ordered is black but looks more charcoal gray. I am very satisfied with this jacket and will probably order another in a different color.

I like that this jacket is made of beefier fleece, but still has a nice shape to it. It is very warm and the cut is just right...roomy enough to allow a layer or two underneath, but not boxy or bulky. It looks great on its own and works well under a jacket shell, too.

I wanted a warm jacket to replace my winter jacket. I thought I needed a down jacket, but I was wrong. A better choice was the Kumbu North Face, light weight, but warm and versatile. It can be used during the winter and through the spring. It is just a real cozy jacket. The workmanship on the jacket is so good, you know it is not a knockoff and that it will last a long time. I want to give a shout out to Matt in Oregon for helping me with my password and finding the review page. All my interactions with the people from Altrec.om have been hlepful and honest. I can't wait until I want another product from them.

I wanted a fleece jacket to wear under my NorthFace ski parka for that little extra warmth needed while walking on cold New England days. After reading other reviews, it sounded just like what I was looking for. I am 5 ft' 1" in height and weigh 107 lbs. I purchased the extra small and it fits great. It's not too bulky under my parka and still has room to move my arms comfortably. The best part is that when the weather gets warmer, I will have a great looking fleece jacket to wear with just a light shirt underneath.

I ordered this for our daughter for Christmas. It arrived perfectly packaged and quickly! This is the 2nd Khumbu jacket she has had - the first was several years ago and it was a 2-tone jacket that did not hold up (it went to Goodwill). The seams split due to the stitching too close to the edge of the fabric. The color didn't seem to stay true after several washes either (light and dark). This time I got a solid dark color and she loves it! It actually looks better made than her first one! She is 5'7" and 115 lbs. Small fit her perfectly! This will be great for the campus while lugging books, etc! Altrec was a breeze to order from and after extensive internet and local store searching found Altrec to be the absolute best price, and with free shipping it was a no brainer!

Jacket was wonderful for 1 month until it got washed. After following direction to a "T". It still pilled so I had to return it. It is warm and very comfortable. Sizing was a tad larger than normal in sleeves.

Worth the Price

This jacket is great and worth the price- especially the sale price. I am a student at UCSC and it can get a little rainy and cold during the winter. I also bike up the hill to campus, so I need as much warmth with as little weight as possible. This jacket meets all my needs. It is very easy to thrown on under my North Face rain jacket. I also have the North face Denali which is much heavier, but not much warmer. I am 5'7, 135 lbs, and rather busty. I ordered this in a small and it fits nicely with enough room underneath to add another layer if needed. I would recommend this jacket to anyone with an active life style.

I live in really cold, windy weather, and this was a great find. It's warm, fashionable, and quite cheap with the discount. The sizing ran a little large. I'm a 5'3" and ordered a small, which fit nicely if not a little large. The quality is good and has the ability to be zipped into an outer shell, which I love.

I love this for use by itself, but I'm not crazy about how it fits under jackets and coats for winter. It ends up feeling bulky and lumpy. Overall, though, I like it a lot and am considering buying a backup for travel.

Got this jacket in the "Response Red" color as it was on sale & red is a color I like. The jacket is fairly form fitting--I got a medium and am 5'7" and weigh 148 lbs. If I weighed more, I would go with the large as it is snug across the hips. It has beautiful lines and looks tailored when it is zipped up. The jacket is nice and toasty--really great for cool days in San Diego County (yes--there are cool days and nights in CA!). The only thing I didn't like about this jacket is the placket behind the zipper that is suppose to keep the wind out. This jacket would be perfect if the placket color matched the jacket (bright red), but it is WHITE--and is a real contrast to the bright red. It detracts from the overall look of the jacket unless you keep the jacket full zipped up. I was puzzled as to why the jacket didn't come with laundering instructions. There was no tag inside the jacket or on the warranty card. This is a FYI for North Face, so they include instructions on their products so folks can properly care for them.

I ordered a size small which fits me slightly bigger than I would like too, but that's perfectly fine with me. I am 5'5 and 120 pounds. If I have a pink one, but will be ordering a black one soon and will most likely order a XS instead of a small. I ordered this fleece in Jan 2011 and have already gotten a good use out it! I live in Texas where it isn't ever too cold so this is as heavy a jacket as I will ever need. I love it so much and the extra room gives me space to layer something under it. GREAT BUY! This jacket is ideal because it is not too heavy and yet offers just the right amount of warmth when you need a light layer. I'm 5'11" and was very pleased that the sleeves were long enough for me even in a size Small. I love that it's not too bulky. In addition, the pockets are deep enough for my phone/keys, but zip up for a streamlined fit. I will definitely use this as a layer underneath my NF parka this winter. Love this one!

IMO, everyone needs a North Face Khumbu fleece jacket! It's just the right weight and warmth for spring and fall. The perfect mid-weight jacket, suitable for many occasions. Great quality and I like the way it hugs my body, providing a flattering fit. I'm 5'5", 135 pounds, and a women's medium is perfect. I also like that the arm length is generous. Highly recommend this jacket!

Nice coat! I am about 5'8 and 140 pounds. The fleece fits good. It is a little long for my arms, making it look a little bulky. But, you cannot beat it, especially for the price. It is also very warm, considering it is just a fleece.

very nice fleece. nothing special here just a good solid quality basic piece, performs as to be expected in this price range for a well know brand name. I fit best in a medium, 5' 7" and about 115-120lbs. (i don't like my tops skintight but i do want them to be nicely fitted)

It keeps you warm but the wind goes through the jacket. I am overall very happy with the quality and use of this product. Its great for running and walking in the winter in California.

I purchased the North Face Khumbu jacket in black as a Christmas gift. The goal was to get a mid weight fleece that isn't too bulky that is able to provide some warmth. This jacket succeeds in that department. I own one myself and have gifted another as well. Typical quality from North Face. Had a nice fit and seems true to size. The only negative aspect about this jacket is the fleece will shed for a few days upon wearing it. It remains to be seen as to how long and what effect the shedding will have on the ability of this jacket to keep its integrity, however I don't think it is a deal breaker at this point. All in all its a good fleece and Altrec was easy to purchase through.

I absolutely love this jacket already! Nice and warm for a very cold natured person. I normally wear a small in ladies sizes, but this seems a bit bigger than a normal small. Would have been better off with an xsmall. Still love this jacket though!

I like the Northface design and it fits really nice. I was disappointed that it is 100% polyester. It's really the same material that columbia is made from and really it doesn't feel much different. I think you pay for a twice as much for design, colors and the Northface logo.

I bought this jacket a few years ago and still wear it all the time! I am able to use it almost year round as it is very versatile. I can throw it on on a cool summer night without getting over heated, but it is also perfect to layer underneath other jackets for very cold days. Since mine has lasted so long and proven to be a great jacket, I decided it would be a perfect gift for my sister this Christmas.

I ordered this in a small and it fits nicely with enough room underneath to add another layer if needed. I would recommend this jacket to anyone with an active life style.

Warm jacket for cool days

Got this jacket in the "Response Red" color as it was on sale & red is a color I like. The jacket is fairly form fitting--I got a medium and am 5'7" and weigh 148 lbs. If I weighed more, I would go with the large as it is snug across the hips. It has beautiful lines and looks tailored when it is zipped up. The jacket is nice and toasty--really great for cool days in San Diego County (yes--there are cool days and nights in CA!). The only thing I didn't like about this jacket is the placket behind the zipper that is suppose to keep the wind out. This jacket would be perfect if the placket color matched the jacket (bright red), but it is WHITE--and is a real contrast to the bright red. It detracts from the overall look of the jacket unless you keep the jacket full zipped up. I was puzzled as to why the jacket didn't come with laundering instructions. There was no tag inside the jacket or on the warranty card. This is a FYI for North Face, so they include instructions on their products so folks can properly care for them.

I live in Asia and preparing for Ski trip in March'13. Bought Khumbu for my wife to pair with mine and my wife just love it max. Totally. The quality is there and the size is true to fit. Big at the arm pit area.

Nice jacket for moderately cool weather! Fits well and is soft and cozy. I am 5'5" and 115lbs and I ordered the small. I don't like clothes that are too tight, and the small leaves plenty of room for layering!

I love the jacket, but i find that a lot of North Face jackets are a bit shorter on me (I'm 5'11 and 145 lbs.) as i have a longer torso. It is an attractive buy tho~

This jacket was purchased for my 13 year old daughter. The jacket size was a small and it fits her perfectly. She wears it to school almost every day and she loves the jacket.

I loved it, it is the perfect color. The only thing was that it was a tad bit long in the arms but I just roll up the sleeves. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to stay warm.

My first Northface product...Very warm and durable, however, it ran slightly larger than I thought it would. I'm 5'2" and the sleeves are a bit long on me but I just turned them up. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought this for my fashion conscious trendy 19 year old who would never wear 'gear' and she loves it. She's 5'9 135# and the medium was too big; small fits perfectly, shapely, sleeves are long enough.

As with most NF goods, this one does not disappoint. Color is a bit vibrant, but the great Altrec price more than makes up for any of these minor subjective issues.

Great go-to Jacket

I ordered a Small after trying the Medium even though it's just a little more snug under the arms. I am thinner so it worked out perfect. The Med. was more like a coat, and I preferred the trimmer fit. Sleeves were very ample in both. I thought the black would be REALLY black, but doesn't seem that way to me. The quality is great and I'm sure will last a long time. It's really heavy fleece like. Great inside pickets and out. It's a great go-to jacket no matter how cool or cold it is.
