I bought this coat for work and for daily use. It looks great and it's fantastic quality. I'm 5 '8" and a size 4. I probably could have ordered a medium, but I got a small size and it fits perfect. I have long arms and the length is just fine.

Practical, outdoorsie Mom looking for truly waterproof coat for her city bound teenager going off to an urban life. She wanted nothing to do with the anorak style that I wear. I was hoping for a little bit more form fitting and not so loose. I am 5'1 about 100 pounds and I bought the XS and it was a bit baggy. Usually North Face is pretty true to size. In this case it fits a bit on the large side. The material is very thin and my first reaction is that it looks cheap however it's doing something right as it has protected me from the wind and rain here in Seattle. The buttons on the front give it more dimension however the button holes are slightly smaller then the buttons and so makes it a little difficult to put on and off. The overall look is 'ok'. The protection from the wind and rain is great!

This is a great combination of design and practicality. I love this jacket. I'm 5'9 and have long arms. I ordered a large and because you can tie the waist, it's a perfect fit.
