This jacket puts comfortable and stylish into one package. It's a snug fit, but not too tight, and it's surprisingly warm for it's light and thin appearance. In my opinion, it's also really stylish. It lacks the bulk that most cold-weather jackets have, so that's a plus in my book. Overall it's a great buy and totally worth the money for what you get.

The jacket is very flexible, and is great under a shell since it doesn't bind. Very warm for its thickness.

Love this jacket! The sleeves are nice and long. I ended up putting a sweatshirt over the top of it and pulled the jacket sleeves down over my hands on a cold 5 hour bike ride and was very pleased with myself and my momentum jacket!

I bought this for my daughter and she constantly wears it! It is very lightweight and comfortable. She has worn it in temperatures from 60 down to the low 40's in aerobic conditions. A definite favorite!

I've been looking for a mid weight jacket for a trip I'm taking to San Francisco/Yosemite next month. The Momentum Jacket is perfect! I really like the fit/shape, it's not bulky. Also the material is very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a jacket for hiking/running.

Perfect jacket for casual wear! Simple design, not too flashy. Cuffs a bit odd at first, cone concept, intent to keep out cold winds. Chest, snug fit for women bust 38C-D. Overall - highly recommend!

Momentum Jacket

This is my second Momentum jacket. I purchased the jackets to run outside in the NJ winters. I wore a base layer, a top, and this jacket in tempertures below 20 degrees and I felt comfortable. The jacket is roomy but not boxy or bulky. I'm petite and normally wear a size small top. The size small allowed me to wear layers under it. I also wore the Momemtum jacket under my ski jacket while skiing in Vermont.

AWESOME LIGHTWEIGHT JACKET. I LOVE ME SOME TKA Stretch fleece TNF makes and bought two more of these. It's great for layering, being low density with a smooth outside surface. The fit is generous, so it's very comfortable (I'm a size 16 with long arms and torso; the XL is comfortably loose). Surprisingly it does not pick up much lint. Wears well over smooth knit shirts (cotton & otherwise), but not so well over fleece or sweaters. I'm from a warmer climate but find this useful in over-AC'd malls or theaters. They are great for traveling; they always seem to look great! Very versatile and functional. AURORA PINK is a medium bubble-gummy pink w/grey that does NOT match my asphalt grey TNF pants.

This is the perfect alternative to a light weight sweatshirt. It looks good on as well. I bought white which really doesn"t attract hair from my dog. Amazing. I wear a 10-12 and I purchased a Med. The wrist opening could be a smig bigger but if you are a runner,it would be perfect.

Great Jacket, very comfortable, feels great on, it looks great... but the sleeves are a bit tight. If you plan on wearing a thin top under order your size, if you want something thicker I would order a size larger.

I do not really enjoy fleecey materials, so I definitely gravitate towards jackets like this. The fit is great, the material is soft but keeps you warm. Love it!

I had been looking for a full zip up jacket, and was so happy to find this one. The fit is very comfortable and a nice weight for running and hiking. I ordered a medium since I usually wear a size 10 petite and it fits great.

I was constantly looking for jacket. This TNF Momentum jacket ended my search. It is not as thick and bulky as the fleece jacket, instead it provides a nice fit to accommodate woman's body at the same time still has the "sporty" look. It can be wore under a raincoat or by itself. Highly recommend it!

I bought this as a somewhat light, comfortable jacket to throw on for after soccer or when doing other athletic activites. I was pleased with how nice it fits and would definitely buy other North Face products. I have only worn it a few times though, so hopefully it will hold up well.

This is the second Momentum jacket I have purchased. It is one of my favorite items. It's durable and versatile, a good all-weather jacket that goes well with almost anything. It fits nicely and is true-to size.

I absolutely love this jacket. I can wear it year 'round; layer it in the winter, and of course it is perfect for spring, fall, and those cooler summer nights or rainy days. I love it because it fits me more like a comfy fitted shirt than a jacket. It is very stretchy and moves with me, it does not "ride up" and I don't have to keep "tugging" at it. This is not my first TNF Momentum jacket, and I am certainly interested in purchasing other colors as well. These jackets wash very easily and pack very well for trips. I find the Momentum jacket to be very "sporty", I often wear my jackets with leggings however, they look awesome with jeans too! I also like how fitted the Momentum jacket is (very flattering), it is not bulky at all. I think this jacket is perfect for all ages and can be worn in any season.

I love North Face so when my friend told me about Altrec I was ecstatic! Great coats and jackets at equally great prices count me in! This jacket is so comfortable and is flattering to a curvy figure. It is nice and warm. It is thin enough to be used as a layer or on it's own on a chilly day.

My girlfriend is a big fan of this jacket! Great for cool temps, and even in the cold it holds up decently well in terms of warmth. The hybrid-ness of the jacket is great, giving it the comfort of fleece but not the appearance of wearing only a fleece out and having the appearance of a jacket. This makes it hold up slightly better in the rain, especially in misting conditions. Overall a great jacket with great fit! Runs a wee bit small, but I'd say its on par with most other North Face products

This is not my first North Face jacket and it will not be my last. It is lightweight, soft and stretchy. In a light sprinkle it will keep you pretty dry. Although it is thin enough to layer it keeps you warm when you need it. I would buy this jacket again.

After purchasing Momentum jackets for each of my college-aged daughters and hearing about how they "absolutely loved" them, I thought it was time to order one for myself. The jacket fits true to size and is easy to wear. It provides great wind and minor rain protection. This is a very well made, comfortable and good looking jacket. I plan on ordering another in a different color!

Made different than past years

I have had three of these jackets in the past, and feel that they are not made a warm as they had been. I would say it is a bit warmer than a good sweater. With the older model, I would say you could wear it in comfort to about 32 degrees! Material is not a dense and wind protective.

I LOVE this jacket!! It fits perfectly as I am petite and it is SO comfortable! I've worn it as a casual jacket (like you'd wear a hoodie) and as an outergarment on a rather chilly night. Perfect jacket - everyone in my family owns multiple colors of this jacket we love it so much. It is figure flattering in both the men's and women's styles. I pack at least two for every trip I go on since they always look sharp and they're super versatile. Run a few miles in it, wear it shopping, throw it on at work, use it to layer while skiing, pack it in your hand bag for freezing movie theatres - it's great. It doesn't pick up dog hair (which is miraculous in my household) and it doesn't smell even after wearing it running for a week without washing it. It isn't wind or waterproof, but it does layer really well if you throw a jacket over it (it is not bulky even though it's cozy). If it came down to giving up my TV and microwave or keeping this jacket - I'd take the jacket without hesitation, it's that good.

My mom bought me this jacket. I love it. I am 5ft 4 in, about 115LBS, and I had to exchange the small for the XSmall. It fits great. I usually wear a tshirt or tank underneath and its perfect. I would absolutely recomment to a friend.

Stylish, Comfortable, and Athletically Functional

This is a nice athletically cut jacket that can be used either as a midlayer or primary jacket depending on the temperature and your activities. Although it has a trimmer cut, it is not as slim as the athletic cut pieces in the Arc Teryx line. The fabric is stretchy, so there is a bit of give where it may be needed. I typically where XS in jackets, and I am able to fit a midweight wool base layer under this without a problem. I could well add another thin layer, and it still would be okay. Although the fabric is thin, it is surprisingly warm. The jacket has three nice pockets all of which are very functional in size and placement. The only thing that prevents this jacket from being a five star piece for me is that I wish it was a little longer. I am 5'6, and the XS comes down to my waist. It is not too short though - I just wish it was a tiny bit longer. The arms are perfect in length, and a thin elastic cuff insures that the sleeves stay where you want them. Overall, the Momentum is a great little jacket that is stylish, comfortable, and athletically functional.

I just ordered this and LOVE it, but the small is too big (which I wouldn't have expected sine I'm 5'3" and about 120 lbs). I am returning the small and trying an XS. Keeping my fingers crossed because I love this jacket! On a side note, Altrec has phenomenally fast shipping - thank you!!

I absolutely love this jacket! I bought my first one in 2007 and have purchased 2 more since (in different colors). The material is light weight and stretchy which is perfect for layering. It's also very stylish in every color. I usually wear it under my Northface Nuptse jacket when it's very cold and windy out or by itself when the weather is cool. I wear a size Large (5'5 size 14) and find that the fit is true to size, not tight at all. It wipes clean very easy which means I hardly every wash it. As a mother of two young boys I tend to get a bit messy and find that baby wipes is all I need to get any spills off. I would highly recommend this jacket.

I bought this and the RDT 300 to layer under the North Face Resolve jacket for my upcoming trip to Iceland. I feel prepared for the predicted cool, damp and windy weather we may encounter. The Fuschia Pink is a bit bold, but it matches the lining/trim on the Grey Resolve jacket.
