Bigger than a lumbar pack but sized right for low profile travel, The North Face Paige Daypack gives you plenty of compact carrying capacity without sticking you with a backpack design that looks like something made for cyclists or ultra-distance endurance racers. Simply put, the Paige is a durable daypack designed to take the place of your purse or handbag, although it's also a great solution for your light commutes. It features a soft foam backpanel with adjustable webbing along the shoulder straps. The North Face designed their Paige backpack for women, but the load potential is light so you won't find the same contoured shoulder straps featured in similar packs with twice the capacity. If you're tired of toting a handbag, the Paige is a practical choice that frees up your hands for commutes and your favorite short excursions.

This backpack is certainly smaller than average, but it is very good for small trips or walks. Good for traveling too, as long as you don't want to bring a lot of extra clothing with you for the day. (barely fits a rain coat)

I use it for the gym. It's small enough not to be a nuisance, but large enough to carry essentials (cash, water, mp3, etc...)!

Small enough not to weigh you down but roomy enough to hold all your stuff. I use it for a purse when I need to have my hands free. I also use it to hold water, leash, etc when I walk my dog in the mtns.
