Great rain jacket

The taffeta material this jacket is made of is soft and doesn't make that annoying noise that other raincoats often make. The fleece lining feels like velvet - you'll put your hands in the pockets just to snuggle up to the fleece. After reading the other reviews, I ordered a size larger than what I usually wear. Glad I did - it fits perfectly but my usual size would have been too small. I would love to see TNF come out with a summer version of this jacket - same fit and material, no fleece lining. This jacket is definitely warm, which means that here in the South I won't be able to wear it after this month. It is a great jacket as long as you allow for the inconsistent sizing that seems to be TNF's trademark.

I have been disappointed in the discrepancies in sizing in The North Face products, and this Woman's Pitaya Jacket was no exception. As pricey as The North Face products are, I would expect some uniformity in sizing; however, this has not been the case. This Woman's Pitaya jacket was listed as "Medium" but, in terms of sizing, it seemed to be more like a child's size Medium. This is not Altrec.com's fault; it is an innate sizing issue with The North Face product line that I have heard others complain about with other products.

i received my jacket and loved it immediately. the color was true to the image, it is lightweight, soft, and so easy to wear. perfect for casual wear, hiking and other outdoor activities. the sizing was perfect and aligned with the size chart for north face. i'm 5 feet 0 inches tall and the xs was the right fit for me. the only thing that i would complain about is the same as what someone else might have mentioned already. the pockets seem flimsy and not sturdy enough to hold anything. but i could look past it since the jacket is so great! i would definitely recommend this jacket!

Very warm & comfy!

Wish I got this sooner. If you live in a cold, windy climate, it's perfection. Also great for transition months. I love the longer sleeves of most TNF products. And they are very durable, easily lasting through repeated washings and daily wear. I don't climb, so I can't attest to the durability of the outside against abrasion. Lightweight enough to layer for colder days/nights; I cover with a hardshell and I'm done! I feel just as warm - maybe warmer - than my TNF Thunder under a hardshell, and look less puffy. Very wind resistant, so don't expect any breathability. LOVE the beautiful berry color.

I love this jacket. It's very soft, light,weighted, wind proof and suppose water proof too (have not tested yet). I really like the soft and warm fleece/fury inside liner with water/wind proof material as the shell. That's a perfect jacket for folks live in the area where mornings and nights are windy, foggy and wet. But warm in the day time when you can easily fold it in your bag/handbag. Another plus is there are zippers in both of the pockets. The hood is well designed to have the wind proof effect when you put it on. Overall, it's a super good quality and well design Northface jacket!!

Have Worn It Every Day

I have worn this jacket every day since I got it. The jacket has kept me warm in the low 50's with sprinkling rain. It seems virtually windproof. I am a big fleece girl. I almost always have one on but this jacket has kept them on the hook. I did go up a size. My normal medium was too tight. I'm not swimming in the large. It has enough room for layers without looking too floppy. Thanks Altrec, I am loving this purchase.

The jacket was a gift for my daughter for Mother's Day. It was beyond my expectations: long enough, great color, perfect fit. I ordered the jacket in a "small" and it fit her 5'8 1/2" frame. It is the softest, cuddliest jacket. She loved it. (And I want one for myself)

Wonderful Rain Jacket

I am in love with this coat! I bought it as a gift for my mom but we have both been wearing it non-stop! It could not have come at a better time because we have been getting a ton of rain but this jacket keeps you a 100% dry. It is the perfect weight to keep you warm and dry but isn't too stuffy. The lining is a great plus to this jacket as well...it is perfect for spring and fall and even those colder rainy summer nights. I would recommend this jacket to everyone!
