I fell in love with the color

and then I fell in love with the jacket. Not really how the order should go but it worked out in the end :). I had been looking for a rain jacket that wasn't butt-ugly and found it in the resolve. The only thing is some random bleach spots showed up on the right shoulder area, and I never even washed it! A little upsetting but not really North Face's fault.

I own the Triclimate jacket, gloves, and several Osito's so when I needed a rain jacket with hood that could be worn on the motorcycle when caught out in the rain or just running errands around town....this fit the bill perfectly!! I liked the fact the hood hides away in the collar when not needed but it's there just waiting and ready and unobtrusive. It truly is a perfect fit when worn by itself. I am 5'4 and 112 lbs. and all my jackets are Mediums. I do think that it is on the snug side when I try to wear my Osito fleece under it but it can be done. If that is something that might bother someone then you probably might want to go up a size. I wanted something that I could throw over a leather jacket when riding if the weather changed or even on a spring rainy day when shopping and I am very happy with this jacket.....thanks Altrec!!!

At first I was a little disappointed of how thin the jacket was, but I quickly changed my mind after wearing it in the wind & rain. I love that it is so versatile. It is thin enough to wear in the summer rain or can be layered with a fleece to wear in the winter. I normally wear a small, but after reading the other reviews I chose to order a medium. I can easily fit a fleece jacket underneath without it looking too bulky. I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a multi-purpose jacket.

Nice light jacket that keeps you warm. I used it on a rainy day in Alaska and it kept me warm. I'm 5'1 and the length was just right. Perfect size for petite women.

This is a great lightweight rain jacket. The material has a nice feel to it, and I like the mesh lining because if feel comfortable. I usually wear a small in The North Face brand, but after reading other reviews I ordered a medium and I'm glad I did. The small would have fit, but I wouldn't have been able to wear more than a thin shirt underneath. The medium is perfect and I love the jacket. It is excellent for folding up into my Camelbak for an extra layer when hiking. If you are considering this jacket, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I bought a size bigger than my original because of the reviews so I bought a medium, but it was too roomy. I had to return and get a small. The fit is great and you can still wear more clothes under the jacket for colder days.

Going to class in my North Face Women's Resolve Jacket is the best. I can layer it with a tee shirt, sweater or other items of clothing to provide comfort from September through May. Even when the snow and wind are blowing my Resolve Jacket keeps me comfortable. Love the jacket!

I put this jacket in my shopping cart while I was still mulling it over. 2 days later I log back on the jacket in my cart was gone. And when I tried to find the white womens resolve again it was sold out in my size. I was totally bummed. I chatted with a sales person and he told me that the color and size I wanted wouldn't be available again until October and it would most likely be full price. 2 days later I checked back, and the white medium was in stock so I wasted no time ordering. I am so pleased with it! I usually wear a small in TNF however I sized up so that my fleece would fit underneath. I'm planning to use it as a shell for skiing this winter. And as a thin layer for the windy days. The sleeves are pretty long, as some other reviewers have remark but that's no issue for me. Thanks Altrec for the great deal!

I'm about to buy my second northface resolve jacket (first one got stolen)- very reasonably priced, definitely waterproof! i would recommend a size up if you are planning on wearing a layer underneath (it's just a shell) overall, great jacket!

I haven't had much of an opportunity to wear it yet, but I love it! It is cool enough to wear in 90 degree heat but I can tell it could keep me warm too. I tried my other warmer north face jacket on underneath to make sure the two worked well together, and they did. I ordered it a size larger to make sure i had plenty of room, and that was a GREAT idea. It is fitted, so keep that in mind, and even as a size larger than I would have ordered, I feel like I still have a feminine shape. Great buy, and I would definitely recommend this great price to anyone!

Although it's more expensive than some of the other brands on this site, The North Face gear will last forever. I have a bunch of fleece jackets, gloves, a backpack and never had an issue with any of them. This rain jacket is great--no complaints! But it is thin, so you might want to order a size up if you need to fit a fleece jacket or sweatshirt underneath.

The nice things people have been saying about this jacket are all true. I just want to point out one thing: the size. It seems that most people find this jacket run small. Not true in my case at all. I am 5'5, 130Lbs and I am swimming in my medium. I decided not to exchange for a small b/c I might want to wear it over a suit jacket sometime. So just take that into consideration. This jacket definitely does NOT run small.

When it rains, which is extremely often, I needed a coat that would fit me well and help me to not get me soaking wet. The jacket is very wind-resistant so my hood doesn't fly off. I love how the jacket feels and it's color! I am usually a Medium, and needed a large so the jacket does run small. It is very durable and is a great value!!! I definitely recommend buying it!

This is a great jacket. I usually wear a 6-8 Small but purchased a medium which fits perfectly. Overall I was very pleased with this jacket. It is lined and definitely water proof.

Love the jacket. Great to wear during summer by itself or winter with a layer underneath. Hood was large enough to fit over the head comfortably. Lining is great. Biggest complaint is the color was not as advertised. The Juicy Red is more pink/orange than red. I will be returning for a different color.

Better than Expected!!!

This is my first time buying a North Face item....I am VERY pleased with this jacket! After reading all the reviews in regards to fit, I was still a little unsure but, I went with the large and it fits perfect! I am 5'4" and 155lbs. There is still room to layer underneath and it will be perfect for these rainy days. Just like others have wrote, it does give you some shape as opposed to some, that are more of a boxy fit. I chose the Moonlight color, instead of black (hesitant due to almost white could make you appear heavier), NOPE! I am so happy with my choice and would recommend to ALL! Great site and overall, GREAT great GREAT product!

Haven't had the jacket long enough to rate the durability but if it is anything like my last NF jacket then it will last a long time…my old one is 4-5 yr old and still like new. It is a more fitted jacket than my VentureNF jacket and I love that..it makes it a more feminine look. I got TNFwhite color and love it. I wanted to be visible at night when I walk the dog and we hardly have snow here. It is a really bright white. Altrec had the best price anywhere for the jacket and I thank them for that. I'll be buying from them again.

This jacket is awesome it looks great with almost anything worn. It is great for the rain and blocks the wind. I wear it Downtown in this windy City weather and I cant feel the wind chill. My 9 year old has one and loves wearing it too school especially on rainy days. Next I will purchase one for my husband to keep him dry while at work outdoors.

I bought this jacket for my daughter for her birthday and she is one happy kid! Kids now aday dont want to wear heavy jackets and such because it it not cool. So this jacket it perfect for when it rains because it is a rain jacket also you can attached your reguglar fleece northface to this jacket. When that happens you are warm and dry.

The jacket definitely did what it set out to do. I was walking out in the pouring rain with this on and it kept me dry and warm. However, it was very humid out and the mesh material lining the inside of the jacket made me feel like my skin was wet. The best way to describe the feeling is that it's similar to that feeling you get when you wear a shower cap and take a hot shower. The good part of the mesh is that it keeps the jacket from sticking to your skin, which it did alright at (but not as well as one would hope). All in all, this is a great jacket and I would definitely recommend it.

I am a huge fan of The North Face but must say that this is my favorite jacket so far. I am about 5 6, 135 pounds and the medium fits me perfectly. I can also fit a sweatshirt underneath and still be able to move around comfortably. My favorite part about this jacket is the hood. It can be easily packed away if not needed, stays put on your head and actually extends out enough to protect your face. The material is very nice and is breathable too. I chose the black and am planning on purchasing another in a different color.

I was a bit nervous about the sizing of the coat when I ordered it, but when I tried it on, I was so happy that it fit perfectly! I'm 5'10" and about 145 lbs, and the arms were the right length(even a tiny bit too long when standing with arms down) and the torso fit well too. There's plenty of room underneath for a fleece or a sweatshirt, which you'll need because the coat is pretty light. I love the color as well, it isn't as obnoxious as it looked in the picture. Overall, a great buy.

I bought this jacket about a year ago, and it is still my favroite jacket. not only does it keep me warm but it also keeps me dry in the rain. it's really thin, but if you wear a sweater underneath or even a fleece zip up, you will be really snug and warm.

This coat keeps you dry! It zips all the way up and has a big hood to protect you from the rain. The coat is a little wide on the bottom but it does not bother me much.

The jacket was light weight, water resistant, and fashionable. However, I live in a cooler climate, and it didn't keep me very warm. I would recommend a heavier jacket if you are looking for overall warmth.

This coat is pretty nice and worked very well on a windy trip I went on. Blocks the wind and stuffs into your bag easly when you get warm. I am 5'6" and 125 pounds, ordered the small and it is kind of roomy. The room is good for layering but I don't go out in very cold weather often so would have liked the extra small better. Overall seems like a good quality wind jacket though.

Very durable, comfortable all season jacket

I purchased the North Face Women's Resolve jacket for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it! It's the type of jacket that you can basically wear anywhere, rain or shine. Its durable and resistant enough to wear through rain and cold, and breathable and light enough to wear on a sunny day. It's really stylish which is a plus and it has great utility. I will probably purchase a men's version just for myself! My girlfriend is average height and the medium fits just fine. I would size up just for good measure if you are unsure though because I can see the jacket running a little small in come cases. However, don't let this deter you! Bottom line is: great jacket, great brand, great utility.

I purchased this rain jacket b/c my daughter has one that she has ranted and raved about and I desperately needed one and it was a great price. I haven't had the chance to try it out ( no rain! ), but I can say that I initially purchased my normal size, Large, and felt there wasn't enough 'extra' room so returned and repurchased for an X-Large which is roomier. Living in the northwest I have to deal with a lot of rain and this was by far the best rain coat I have found. Not only is the color selection great, but I stay dry throughout the rainy season with this jacket. It is comfortable and helps with the wind too. Great quality, it feels brand new every time I put it on. I strongly recommend this rain coat for anybody that needs to stay dry. It is also very cute which is just an added bonus!!!

I bought my Northface about a year ago.. I live in rainy Seattle and love it so much. I wore it almost everyday (even if it wasn't raining). It works great when its windy outside. I used it to go to school or to go for a run. This is a product everyone should have. (I have a turquoise Northface )

Great coat for rain

This is a great coat for protection against the rain. I have used the coat several times, I've only had it for about a week, and everytime it kept me protected from the rain. I really like that it has a place for you to roll the hood up if you don't want to use it. I am 5' 4" about 110 pounds, and the coat fits me perfectly..I got a size small. It does not keep you warm, but it does exactly what it is made for..keeping you clear of the rain. I would recommend this coat if you are in the market for a rain jacket.

I'm a college student.I go to school every day, and this season is always windy and rainy, so to get this jacket is really in time for me. This is excellent, light weight and affordable price with different color options. This is really good. I would have bought this product 20 years ago if I know it earlier. I live in Taiwan where is famous for typhoon and rainy days. This product can survive from typhoon and keep you dry even you were riding a scooter. It's light so easier to use in here with tropical weather than Gore-tex (heavier and much more expensive).

I had a Northface rain jacket previously and it was stolen so I had been on the hunt for a new one for a few months. I went to store after store and looked all over online and stumbled upon the altrec website and found exactly what I was looking for. This rain jacket came two days before Hurricane Sandy and couldn't have done a better job protecting me from the conditions. I had read reviews about it being too tight around the hips and not form fitting, which I have found to be totally not true. I've got some big hips and behind and this jacket fits perfectly in all the right places. This is going towards the top of my list of "best investments"!! I would very highly reccommend this product to someone looking for a good durable, fashionable, and cost effective rain jacket!

I love this jacket! Its lightweight and is 100% waterproof. The fit is very flattering, true to size and has shape. The lining is warm without being bulky. I purchased the Arctic white one and loved the color. I use it while biking and the color reflects during the night, which is another plus. I am very happy with my purchase.

This jacket fits very well and does exactly what it says it does. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It hugs curves and black goes with everything. The only bad thing I would say is that the price is a little high, but it's understandable because it's NorthFace.

I recently purchased two of these jackets in black for my teenage daughters. The price was right, so decided to order. My daughters were impressed by the fit and quality of the jacket. As teenagers, they don't want a bulky jacket, so the slim fit and lightweight feel was perfect for them. I ordered them each a Small, b/c the Medium's sleeves would have been too long, and was right. Will make for a great back-to-school jacket.

I'm an 18 year old college student and this jacket is perfect for walking to class on days where the weather is bad. I'm about 5'6" and 150lbs with an average size build and the medium fits perfect. the arms are a perfect length! I highly recommend this product.

I always wanted a NorthFace windbreaker. But when I went onto the brand site, it cost over $120 for one!! I looked around, and everywhere seemed to be insanly expensive. Until I came here, and found one fore just over $70. What a steal! When it came in the mail, I put it on and tried it out in the rain. Fits great, locks out water, and is very comfortable. If you are looking for a great jacket with an affordable price, get this one!

As advertised and reviewed. Sizing was perfect. Color true to picture. Typical outstanding North Face quality. I was able to wear this the day after receiving as it was raining hard. Waterproof with hood & storm flap. Adjustable bottom cinch cord keeps out water & rain. It's lightweight but roomy enough to wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. Overall very happy with purchase and Altrec outstanding service!
