Practical and Fashionable
January 05, 2012

As an overweight petite, these pants in size XL short are a godsend. They fit really well--they were a little bigger in the waist than I anticipated, but they have belt loops, so this wasn't a problem. The flare legs look great. I can't find any other pant offered in short lengths, so if you are small in stature, these are the pants for you!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, available in short size

Great Product
April 03, 2012

The pants are waterproof and warm. They size a bit on the small side, so you may want to keep that in mind when ordering. For winter they work equally well on the slope and for walking to work in the cool liquid sunshine here in the northwest. North Face quality is awesome and you really can't go wrong with any of their products.

Good slim fit ski pants
February 12, 2012

I bought this for my wife. It was a good solid ski pants, waterproof enough although she hasn't tried to ski in the rain in them. She likes the fit, so do I. It makes her look like a woman instead of a bean bag, which her previous pair of pants did. It's also relatively cheaper than other TNF pants, although the Freedom pants look more bombproof. One thing she did not like, was the logo. It was black on black, despite the picture on the website which depicts a white logo on black pants.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value

Nice but waist needs velcro adjustment
February 09, 2012

Women's Sally Insulated Pants. I am 5'1" 117lbs. I already tried on these pants in the regular length. The Small fits a little snug on the hips with my tight jeans underneath, the Mediums fits nice on the hips, but the waist is too big. So I ordered M short. The fit is the same except the length is shorter. I find that I have to keep pulling the pants up to feel comfortable walking in them. If only the pants had velcro adjustment on the waist, I would give this 5 stars. Since Altrec has sold out S short, I guess I will have to keep this.

Pros: Great design

Good overall
October 25, 2011

The pants served me well on the slope and in ice rinks, although I was not warm while standing in the cold. I guess nothing helps in northern winters save for a lot of physical activity.

Great Purchase
January 14, 2012

The Women's Sally Insulated Pants are excellent. I purchased them in white, and they look great on the slopes. The bottoms are wide enough to fit comfortably over my ski boots, the fit is very comfortable with the waist sitting moderately low on the hips. they move very well while skiing and they kept me very warm. I note that I am a normal size 10 but I bought these in size Large expecting them to be a loose. They fit just right, so if you are a 12 or a 14, the large will not work for you at all.

Great Pants for Playing in the Snow
February 03, 2012

I had been looking for petite snow pants for a while when I came across these. They are just the right length and fit extremely well- very true to size. They have two front pockets with zipper to keep your stuff secure while playing, and additionally two back pockets. The pants have garters to go around your snow boots so that snow doesn't get in, which is always a great feature.

Warm, Nice, Durable and Stylish pants!!!!
May 29, 2012

I really like these pants, because they are insulated. The insulation is not too bulky and keeps you warm. Most of off they are stylish and go well with your outfit. The material is durable so you know they will last a long time. So i would definitely recommend this production to others.

Love the pants; a little too flared for my taste
August 14, 2012

I bought these pants on sale during the summer for my ski trip next February. I am 5'2'' and 110 lbs and the XS fit perfectly, with a little room for long johns underneath. They appear to be warm and waterproof, though I will really test them out this coming February. The only thing that I wasn't totally thrilled with was how flared they are at the bottom. They look fine and stylish, I am just very used to skinny pants, so this was a new look for me!

Women's Sally Insulated Pants
February 20, 2012

I like these pants. I am 5'7" and 140lbs and I ordered a medium. They kind of feel like they're falling down in the back (not much of a booty to hold them up!), but I don't think I could do a small. I think a belt would help. I wore them for a day of tubing and teaching our kids to ski (lots of bending down). I kept having to hike them back up. I had some running tights on underneath just to make sure I would be warm enough. They may have been too slippery under the ski pants, also causing them to fall. I was really warm and totally dry the entire day. Great pants, I think I just need to wear a belt and not wear running tights underneath.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value, Cons: don't stay up well

Bought these for my daughter for Christmas. i love the way they look, they do not appear bulky and I am hoping they will keep her warm when she walks her dog. She has been very happy with North Face products before so I'm sure these will do the same job of keeping her warm. I will update thus review after she actually uses them.

Sally's Insulated Pants
January 09, 2012

I love these pants! They fit perfect. I am 5'8' and weigh 125lbs. I purchased size med. and these pants fit better than any other ski pants I have ever worn. They are warm even when sitting on the cold, wet chair. I love the flair at the bottom and that they are stylish without compromising the quality.

Amazing Snow Pants
January 27, 2012

This was my first purchase at Altrec, and I can't wait to make my second! I love these pants, however I had a different experience with the size. I am 5'6 and 130, and purchased a size medium. I will be exchanging them for a size small, since I want them more fitted. I am long and lean with very thin legs. They were very baggy on me. I love the style, so I cannot wait to get them! Oh yes, and I was extremely impressed with their fast shipping!
