incredibly soft
This jacket is one of the most luxurious ever. I had purchased a pink one for my daughter and knew I had to have one too. I chose the purple one and it is such a rich beautiful color. It is not too warm to wear indoors on a cool day. It is moderately warm when wearing outdoors. It is a fitted style that runs a little small. At first I tried the XS, but ended up with the small. I have received many compliments on it. It would be nice too if it had a hood, though it is beautiful and comfortable as it is. Size info: 5'3", 105 lbs.

Scythe Jacket
This North Face full zip jacket is beautiful. I had to have the pink color one. The fabric is quite soft and provides great warmth. I highly recommend this jacket. Form fitting, and runs slightly small.

great jacket
I purchased this jacket for my daughter. She really loves it. Very soft and comfortable. Not a heavy duty fleece, but works great for most of the time. Runs true to size. Would buy again.

Good for Winter Season
I purchased this jacket for my wife. According to her, this is very comfortable and lightweight. Even though this is definitely not wind-proof jacket, this becomes the very warm insulation once a wind-proof outer jacket is worn. Since its lightweight, she is bringing this whenever she wonders if it's cold day.
It is recommended for the fall-to-winter insulated wear with a wind-proof outer.

Fuzzy and cute
So I got a size small in black for this jacket and it fits me perfectly. I am only 5'2, 120lbs. This jacket is very fuzzy and unique compared to most TNF jackets so you do not have to worry about everyone else having the same item. I have worn it in 50 degrees weather and they kept me pretty warm except for the wind. This jacket is def not windproof so you might want to get another layer over it as the temp drops. I also noticed that the "fur" can shed, this only happened when I was carrying a rather heavy and large cotton bag to work 1 day and the friction must have caused it. Other than that, I love this jacket. It can be both casual and chic. I've worn it to buy groceries and to clubs and it is almost weightless so you don feel like you're carry extra baggage around. Plus its fuzzy and soft so I din mind carrying it 1 bit. Oh and 1 last thing, the sleeves are a little longer so it'll be great for tall girls too.

Cozy Jacket
This jacket is form-fitting, which I like. It's super soft and warm in a non-windy setting. It has no real wind protection, so you'll need a wind breaker to wear on top if you live somewhere cold and windy. It'd make a super comfortable and cozy inner layer though.

I love this jacket for what it is. Don't expect superior warmth. It's like wearing a zip up hoodie only more comfy! Super soft but not for a cold winter day. The fit was rather small. I ordered up in size and it fits nicely. I wanted a little extra room underneath for layering.

Smooth as Butter
Beautiful to wear.. soft, so soft... Another fine product by North Face. Built for women who are active.. y-yolk off shoulder seams allow mobility and stretch. Arms are the appropriate length for stretch with coverage. It will layer very nice under my ski jacket, lies flat, close to body. The design feature of a chest pocket is a must have to stow my music while out on the trail. I am 5'4' and 135 lbs. and purchased a medium. Quite a happy camper, skier, kayaker. A versatile piece of clothing.

Nice coat
I bought this for my daughter to wear at college once the weather gets cool. She loves it, fits great, I bought size small and she is about 5'4" tall slight build and it fits nicely. Contrary to other reviews I found the "fur" to be nice looking and it is very soft. She hasn't worn it yet since its still hot and muggy here in MO, but she is excited for it to get cold. It appears as if it will be warm, but can't comment on that yet.
Only con is even at the sale price its still a lot of $ for a fleece coat.

great basic black jacket
Looking forward to buying it in white...great black jacket that matches and feels great! Small fits my size 2-4 frame perfect with room to move... I can't wait until it gets cold here again.

Great Quality, Great Purchase.
I came across this site the other day and WOW was I surprised/excited to see the prices! Finally, the infamous North Face could be mine, and I could feel comfortable paying for it at 51% off. Who wouldn't? Also- Shipping was estimated at a week- from Oregon to NY- and I got it today- only 2 days after I placed the order! I was so happy with the speed of the shipment- not to mention that it was free- as well as the product.
It is super comfortable and fits true to size. I am 5'3 about 110 lbs- pretty small, and always purchase XS sizes when possible. Many others commented that they went up a size- which I would recommend if you like a little more room for fit or an extra layer underneath. For me- it has enough room for me to be comfortable- yet it is form fitting at the same time- which just looks nicer and more deliberate from a fashion standpoint. It feels warm enough so that I will probably only wear a T-shirt under, or a thin long sleeve depending on the weather. I can't wait to try it out when winter comes around, but I have extremely high hopes for this, The North Face Scythe Jacket.

Can't go wrong with The North Face
I have few different North FAce fleeces and jackets; you can't go wrong with this brand; this jacket is very soft and easy to wear; friends love hugging me when I had this on... I got it on sale which is even better... Size Medium fits perfect on me; another great buy!

Great Find!
I bought this jacket for my two daughters ages 13 and 19. They both have the North Face Denali but loved this after seeing it on a relative. I ordered the next day and it arrived promptly. They both love it!! My oldest daughter is in college and it is perfect for a chilly day. When my 13 year old received hers she didn't want to take it off it was so comfortable. Since I am the same size I am hoping to wear it myself. The price was right and the look is definitely a winner. The only negative I have seen so far is a bit of pilling along the side.

Great Jacket!
I love this jacket! I had this jacket on less than two hours and already had two compliments! The jacket is extremely soft and I love the fit. This jacket is a smaller fit than most North Face jackets. I'm a size 8 and ordered a medium the first time around. I had to return the medium and then ordered the large from this site and it fits perfect!

Wonderful Purchase
We purchased this jacket for our daughter who is a figure skater. She is on the ice six days a week. This jacket keeps her warm and she likes the style. It fit true to the measurements that were provided in the description. It is not bulky. She is 5'1" and we ordered her an adult small. She needed it for the length in the arms and torso. We have recommended this jacket and website to some of our friends and would purchase another one.

Great Jacket!!
I bought this jacket for my 3 girls to share, but that wasn't happening. No one wanted to give it up. I just ended up buying 3 more (2 more for them and 1 for me) in di!fferent colors. It's a great fitting jacket. There are panels that run down each side that are stretchy that make this jacket super comfortable. And the fleece is a great for fall and spring--or even winter if you're like my daughters. They love this jacket!

Best fit ever!
I've had about 10 different North Face fleeces and jackets and I've never had one fit like this. If the body fits, the arms don't and are tight in my shoulders. The Scythe fits like a dream. Nice long arms, not tight in the shoulders. I can wear just a tee or a sweater under it. Very true to size, I'm always a L and am glad I ignored some recommendations to size up. It will be great casually or as my primary layer on cold ski days. I got it for an amazing sale price luckily, because if I had known had well it fit, I would have purchased one earlier in the season for full price. The only thing I would change is the red zipper pulls!

Cute, but not for me.
This jacket was well made and the blue color was beautiful, but the style wasn't really for me. I stuck with the Osito jacket I purchased instead. Having said this I would still recommend it.

Love it!
Wow!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! It is exactly what I was looking for. It is so soft and the best part is it is actually flattering. I ordered a Medium (I tend to be a small or medium on top) and it was perfect. Not too tight, not too loose. I can comfortably wear long sleeved shirts under it. Love it! I'm getting 2 more for my girls.

Warm and Stylish, too!
I love this jacket. It is warm yet not too bulky. I love the navy blue color because it is a true navy color. Very stylish and comfortable. Definitely recommend. I got my usual size small and it is fine with a thin layer underneath (I wear it indoors like a sweater).

Versatile, quality jacket
Have worn this since autumn, it's great on it's own and used for layering. The color is gorgeous (blue) and seems very durable (it's washed every week); there has been a little pilling on the stretch panels, but I'm very impressed with how it's held up through all the washing I put it through. There is absolutely no wind protection, but is extremely breathable and I find that I am always comfortable in it, whether inside or outside. The sleeves are long enough for my slightly longer than average arms, and the body is loose enough on my barrel-shaped torso. I throw a hardshell over it if it's windy, rainy or snowy (love my Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket), and I'm good to go!

Very Soft
I very much like the softness, I just wish the tab behind the zipper had been the blue color it is a dark grey. The pockets seem smaller than the Denali. When is most ladies favorite style I can see the features for both.

Very soft jacket
This is a very comfortable soft jacket. Its very lightweight and I like wearing it in my office because my office is cool. After reading the reviews how this jacket runs small, I ordered a size small anyway because all of my other North Face jackets are size small and they fit fine. I thought it was too small to wear over anything other than a short sleeved t-shirt so I exchanged it for a medium and am very happy I did! Altrec was very nice to work with on the exchange. They refunded my money promptly and my reorder jacket was shipped in no time. I love it!

Too Roomy
I read the reviews and ordered a size up, but the fit was much too large and I had to return. I did love the deep blue color- and the coat is deliciously soft- so will try and buy it in a size down.

Love It!
This is the perfect casual jacket. It is is warm but still cute (note that I live in southeast Texas though, so it doesnt get too cold here). I am 5'8'' and I often have a problem with sleeve and torso length, but this jacket is the longer in both areas than a lot of other North Face attire.

I bought the Skythe Jacket in Magenta for my 15 year old daughter, and she loves wearing it! I bought one size larger because they run small. The jacket is slim and is able to be worn in 40 degree weather and has mesh in the pockets, making storing something in them easier. The inside of the jacket is not furry, but a breathable material. The jacket can be worn in day and night weather and is on of my daughter's favorite jackets.

I bought this jacket for my girlfriend and she loves it. It is a nice alternative to the Denali (which everyone seems to have). It has a nice slim fit but, beware of the size you order. This jacket runs small so I would suggest ordering a size up from normal. On the outside it has a texture that I could only describe as being like soft kitten fur. :)

nice lightweight jacket for fall
This jacket is very lightweight, and soft and cozy. So far, it has kept me warm on 50 degree temperature days. It doesn't feel like it would keep me warm if the temperature dips into the 40's unless I wear a warm underlayer or pair it with a down vest.

Warm lightweight jacket!!

Perfect fit for the Tall Gal
This jacket is great. I am 5"10" 155 lbs and ordered the XL. The sleeves are nice and long (tall gals know what I mean about the sleeves) and the torso just the right length. Plenty of room for layering. I love this jacket so much I want to order in a different color. It is very lightweight but warm.

So Cozy, easy to wear
I love the jacket. The fabric is so incredibly soft and warm. The fit is good, with extra long sleeves and a fitted body. I felt the length of the body was a little short. I am usually a size XS and had to return for a size S for length. Other than that, this is the perfect top layer for a chilly day

Lightweight but warm!
This is a great jacket. The sleeves are nice and long so if you tend to purchase one size larger for sleeve length, you won't have to for this jacket. The fit is curved to fit your body when zipped and has decent sized pockets for your hands, keys or wallet. Living in Alaska in the winter means always taking a coat with you but a lot of people like myself will just throw the coat in the back of the car and run errands with a jacket. This will be one of my favorites to grab.
