Description

The Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming offers ski-in/ski-out lodging, 500 inches of snow every year and glorious sunny days spaced nicely between storms. No wonder TNF was inspired to name a Triclimate after it. The North Face Women's Targhee Triclimate Jacket gives you 3-for-1 versatility for any conditions in the mountains and style options for warmer conditions in town. The waterproof breathable exterior shell jacket is made from polyester HyVent® fabric for weatherproofing and the warm inner jacket is made from lightweight Triclimate® 100 g fleece. Zip them together for maximum protection from the elements.

The exterior winter jacket has an attached, fully adjustable hood, Velcro cuffs and a drawcord at the hem to seal out cold wind and snow. The brushed chinguard lining gives your chin a soft nook to hunker down into on a frigid chair lift ride to the top. Skiing in the cold Wyoming winter wonderland never felt so good. The lightweight fleece jacket underneath is simply styled and cute enough to wear in town or around campus when you aren't lucky enough to be on winter break. Got a backpacking trip planned for spring break? The fleece makes a perfect warm layer for camping and the standard fit allows a layer underneath.

stylish but tight armpits
February 24, 2012

It is a good looking jacket with good quality details. All is good but not great. When I ordered this jacket, I knew it would be tight fitting. However it is very tight in the armpits. The silken fleece liner doesn't look good by itself. I love that it is quite stylish for a winter jacket, very nicely shaped around waist. I am 5'7" 140 lbs, and the medium was comfortable except armpits.

Beautiful jacket!
January 06, 2012

This jacket is even prettier in person! The fleece inside makes it super warm and it feels like an all-around great, durable jacket. I can't wait to wear it on the slopes and what makes it even better is that I can wear the fleece around town where I live. I am 5'6" and weigh 123 lbs and it's perfect- I bought a Medium.

Small tailor fit, year round wear
February 27, 2012

Ordered a small (105lbs 5'3") fits just right everywhere so order up one size if you are full figured. Kept me almost too warm skiing all day in 15 degree weather with the liner over one thermal shirt. Works great at keeping out drafts & wet stuff (snow & rain) up your back, down your neck, sleeves are long keeping out cold & water/snow. Didn't soak through in slush when I fell into messy snow plow bank and was stuck, mud wiped right off. Fleece liner stays put with movement, snaps out easy. Great to wear without the fleece liner over a thick sweater for a windy beach stroll and kept the cold out. Love the tailor fit as I have curves and have had too many jackets straight cut that always have spots where cold/wet could get in, most definitely will wear year round separate or snapped together. Wore it once while pulling blackberry brambles, thorns didn't catch on the outer shell like other jackets so I think it will hold up for a long time. Was able to donate 5 jackets and coats this one has replaced!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Performance, great in any weather, tailor cut, fleece liner stays in place, Cons: small cut size

GREAT purchase!
December 27, 2011

I ordered this jacket for myself. I wanted a reasonable priced jacket and after hours of searching I decided on this one. I have never owned a Northface before this one (always went with the Columbia because of price--but since Columbia is now just as expensive I decided this was the better purchase). I am so pleasantly suprised witth this purchase. It fits VERY well. I wanted to be able to wear anything under it. The jacket is nicely designed to make you look thin and not like a huge bulky jacket, yet you can wear anything underneith it. It is so warm/comfortable/nice. I got this product within two days. I love it and i'm sure you You will love it!

Good Quality Jacket
February 22, 2012

Bought this jacket for my daughter. So far she states that the jacket is durable, water resistant and extremely warm to her. Although we have been going through an abnormally warm winter it is still cold in the morning hours. Even though not able to test in extreme cold temperatures I am confident that this North Face Triclimate will hold up extremely well considering their reputation.

Love it
February 15, 2012

I bought this coat for my daughter who instantly put it on and loved it so much I'm buying one for myself. It is warm and also offers protection from the rain with its outer shell and hood. I ordered her a medium although she could have used the small since she is 5"5 and 115 lbs. but the medium allows for a sweater underneath. It isn't bulky despite giving her room for layers underneath. Since it is new I'm not sure of the durability but North Face usually is a great product. The only downside is the color white but that is what you get when you buy late in the season. It is beautiful but will be a challenge to keep clean.

Versatile Jacket
January 27, 2012

I recently purchased my first North Face Jacket, and now I know why everyone raves about them. The Women's Targhee Triclimate Jacket is very stylish and versatile. I can wear it three different ways and it is also very durable and warm. The jacket also fits well where you can still wear layers and be comfortable. Looking forward to purchasing more North Face apparel!

Jacket seem to run short. I was unable to layer under this jacket. I usually wear a Med. but the Med was uncomfortable over a sweater. The fit was short in my opinion as well. Great quality, not such a great fit for me.

Fantastic Jacket
November 15, 2011

Being in CT, it gets rather chilly come fall/winter. On campus in particular, we have really bad winds, which the outer shell protects great against. I love the fact that this is a triclimate jacket, 3-in-1. On the really cold days, I wear both jackets together and I'm nice and warm, and on slightly warmer days, I find myself wearing just one jacket or the other. The jacket fits great, I'm 5'3" 125 lbs and I wear a small. It's a little long, just covering the top of my hips, which I personally like. The inner fleece jacket is super soft and warm while the outer shell is wind/water resistant. I would definitely recommend this jacket because it's such a high quality, multi-season jacket.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, comfortable
