I got these on a closeout sale. For the deep discount, these boots are amazing. Great support in the ankle. They do run a bit big (I wear 8.5-9, and a 9 was too big so I got a pair of 8.5s - perfect.). They aren't sleek; they're a little chunky looking. They break in pretty quickly (in a couple of wearings) and are very sturdy.

The company must have made a mistake with my order - I received a pair of men's boots which were too big and extremely uncomfortable. I am returning them for a refund.

So far so good. A little stiff for bouldering but should do just fine for regular short backpack trip. Will do an 18-mile dayhike next month. That will be the ultimate test.

Great boots for women

These boots are awesome hiking shoes for women, no matter is it a short or a long hike. I bought these from Altrec with great discount and it has definitely been one of the best buys. In the beginning I got a small blister to my ankle, but since then these boots fit perfectly. I have done both short (one day) and long hikes with them, with tons of stuff in my backpack. They give good support to ankle and are testes to be waterproof. I did some river rafting with them and after a full day tirp my socks were still dry. An extra plus is that they are breathable. Overall great shoes which will (I hope) to last many hikes in future.

I had been searching for the websites for a long time trying to find a pair of boots for my girlfriend. You know, women's feet are smaller. But most of the boots for women are same as men's, like a "big ship". But this one is neat. Especially the little red color makes it very desirable among other women boots.
