The North Face Women's Ultra 103 XCR Trail Running Shoe

shoe delivers extras on all counts with a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® XCR® upper over an ergonomic Northotic™ custom anti-microbial footbed and Roll Control™ medial heel wedge. This is the pinnacle of performance among the entire trail running shoe collection from The North Face, and if you ever had a doubt about support or a concern about pronation, this is the shoe for your outdoor lifestyle. This shoe is very similar to the award-winning Ultra GORE-TEX® XCR® running shoe, but with the added benefit of medial support without a gram of extra weight. For the most part The North Face accomplished this weight savings by modifying the textile materials along the upper without undermining the support along the upper. In fact, the Ultra 103 XCR has more medial and upper support features than the Ultra GORE-TEX® XCR® running shoe.

Great shoe!
This is a stable,durable shoe. I tend to pronate and I am on my feet all day...I feel very supported and that the shoe will last for more than a few months (compared to most shoes). I am definitely a North Face [con-vert]! The only thing about the shoe is it seems to run a 1/2 size big. I typically wear an 8 and it feels more like an 81/2.

Five Stars, No Doubt
These are the best. They're both lightweight and phenomenally rugged. The base of the shoe is extra wide, which is key if you have any pronation problems. I have searched for waterproof shoes that are good on the trails, and these are the best I've found!

North Face 103 XCR
Great fitting shoe. This is my second pair. I do canine agility and these shoes are perfect in wet grass, turf and/or packed dirt. Supportive. Nice room in the toe box.

Great shoe!
This is a stable,durable shoe. I tend to pronate and I am on my feet all day...I feel very supported and that the shoe will last for more than a few months (compared to most shoes). I tried these and went back for another pair after I wore them out...sized up a half size with another pair to wear in cold weather with thicker socks. Awesome.....

Impressed
These are my first shoe by North Face and I couldn't be more delighted. They are comfortable and stable. I live in the desert and walk and hike in them. I'm looking forward to a lot of great hikes.

Awesome shoes! Keep my feet warm and waterproof. I go for long walks every day and always wear them. I never had problems having to break them in when I first wore them, it was like they were made for my feet. I'm going on my second pair.

Love these
I love these shoes, I have had them a couple of years now and they are still my go to shoe when I want or need a little protection from the elements. They not only perform well for me trail running and hiking but they are just a nice looking shoe. I would suggest sizing up if you plan on wearing thick socks, I really need to buy another pair so I can do that, my foot is a little cramped with my wool socks. But all and all this was a good purchase for me. One more thing, they are a little stiff, but I prefer that as the trails I run and walk on are very rocky. My feet stay dry also.

Would buy another pair
This is my second pair of TNF trail shoes. They are not as light weight as my first pair, however they are very comfortable and warm. The first time I wore them was for 12 hours straight, and I had no blisters or rub marks on my feet. I just wish they came in more colors!!

I LOVE these shoes!
This is my 2nd pair of these shoes - I have literally worn the first pair out...they have been encased in ice and encrusted in mud and taken it! I just got through washing the mud off of them from a 7.5 mile trail race last weekend...they wash up beautifully (wash by hand)...they keep my feet warm and dry (unless in hip deep ice water and a trail race in December) - I have written several reviews on my running clubs website since I first purchased these shoes and have LOVED them since day one...obviously that's why I'm buying another pair!

Awesome Shoes!
These shoes were great - I wear them hiking and trail running. I needed to break them in, but after the first run, they were awesome. I love the traction and they're more lightweight than you would think. I definitley recommend them!

I love this shoe
I am an avid power walker. I walk an average of 50 hours a week. This is the only shoe that offers me contined support and durability. I bought my first pair at a local athletic store last fall. When I went back a month ago for another pair, they did not have my size. So I came home, found this site ordered and got the shoes within days! i was thrilled. Two days later I ordered 2 more pairs to have on hand. One for next spring the other for when the weather turns nasty I want to have a back up pair for when one pair is to wet to put back on. being how active I am, I am pretty hard on my shoes. These are the only ones that have held up to what I put them through.

great shoe
this shoe is comfortable and sturdy. it is waterproof and is like a hiking shoe but feels like a running shoe. i can wear them for 10 hours and not want to take them off. i would recommend them to anyone

Good Shoes
They are great for running through wet terrain. Your feet stay dry, I can say that. Just be careful on slick floors. You will slide.

Pleasantly surprised! Great shoe!
I have been looking for a waterproof trail runner and I finally found one with perks. It has great support and stability over rough/rocky terrain. The toebox might be a smidge airy and may require a thicker sock, but the overall performance was better than I had anticipated. Definitely a shoe I would purchase again.

Women's Ultra 103 XCR Trail Running Shoe
Good sneaker. The only issue is that they come up high near the ankle so they rub on my ankle, but that maybe just be how my feet are

Not so great as other North Face trail runners
Not nearly as comfortable as other lighter weight North Face trail runners I have purchased in the past. My husband laughed at me when I put my old ones back on after only 3 days with the new ones.
