I know of people who have this jacket which is what made me want to get it, and it's great. I got a size small white, and I'm a size 3 jean and medium sweatshirt, so you don't have to be small to get a small. The only thing I would change is I wouldn't get white because I live in Alaska and it gets dirty very very easily. It keeps you dry on a rainy day and isn't too hot for a warm day either. It arrived in 3 days too which is impressive. Well worth the money.

I recently perchused this jacket to wear while hiking in mt. rainier and it worked out perfectly. It was about 40-60 degrees and the jacket kept me comfortable both climbing the mountain and chilling outside. I usually vary between a small and a medium in north face jackets, but a small fit perfectly. (I'm 5'5 and 125). Overall I really pleased.

Awesome jacket! i used it snowboarding in tahoe and the wind protection was great. it does run a little big, even with layers underneath. im 5' 4'' and i could have gone with a small.

I like the color I got. I did get a small and I was able to fit a shirt and a sweater under the jacket with some room. I think if your a 34c and up you might find the jacket to be tight. The arm length also stops right at my wrist bone. Like I said I'm not big 5"2 34b 108 and the jacket fits. If you don't like something to fit you perfect you might want to go up a size. I could of got away with a med.

I purchased my Venture jacket about three weeks ago to prepare for the upcoming rainy seasons. I've been able to use it once so far because I had to take my 10 month old puppy out for a walk in the rain. The jacket kept me nice and dry and I didn't get too hot in it either, which I really like because most rain jackets make me sweat and this one didn't (we walked 2 miles). I especially like the long brim on the hood to keep the rain from splashing on my glasses. The adjustable velcro, around my wrists, on the sleeves is a bonus too!

I love my jacket because it is so light weight I can roll it up in a ball and have it take up practically no room in my suitcase.
It feels good and looks pretty nice too.
I wish it were just a touch more fitted; I think I may be between a small and extra small, but would rather have it a little big than too small.
I wore it in the rain the other day to test it and I was completely dry inside. In Seattle that is a must.

As some have said, it does run large....but for good reason. It is a light shell, designed to have the option of layering several items underneath. The advice seems to be to buy a size down, but I am all too weary of doing this since I did the same with a Berghaus jacket once. Yes, getting the size down made it more flattering and fit me better in the chest....but a size down comes with shorter body, and arms - and it barely fitted in those respects. I chose not to make the same mistake this time. Although roomy, it still looks good - and I know that extra room is there should I want to layer up in the winter. TNF put a lot of thought into sizing, so I personally think it bad advice to tell people to purposefully buy the WRONG size.

Great as an outer layer in winter. Waterproof yet breathable. I already had one in bright green and was pleased with quick customer service through e-mail, in obtaining a black one even though it was out of stock at the time! Does run slightly larger than size indicates but this is good if you want to layer.

Water rolls right off of the jacket. Really easy to throw in a bag and take with you since it's not bulky. If you buy your "normal" size then it ends up being a little bit bigger, but you can always fit another layer underneath it, so if it's a chilly day you can still wear it. Only downfall, if you don't unzip some of the vents, it can get kind of warm wearing it, but that just goes to show that no water/wind is getting through, so the jacket is doing its job.
