I found these pants to be very well made and comfortable. I haven't tried them in the rain yet - they will accompany me to Wales this year where I'm sure they will be put to the test. I bought these because of all the great reviews - so far I'm happy with my purchase.

I received a northface rain jacket last year as a gift and stated if only I had a pair of northface rain pants, well my dream came true!!! I now have a pair of northface rain pants!!! I have to do a lot of walking and the rain pants keep me dry during down pours and I arrive at my destination DRY, while others are trying to dry off!!! I love my "now" northface rain outfit!!!

The product is superb, even if the fit is a little large. However, since I will use these on hiking trips when a sudden squall will call for fast action, zippin into these pants OVER hiking pants will be a breeze. So I am sacrificing a little sizing issue for ease and superb quality

Made this purchase because I was tired of dealing with rain soaked gear everytime I took the dogs on walks, hikes, or to the dog park in inclimate weather. Dogs don't care if they get wet, I on the other hand would prefer to stay dry, especially when it's cold and wet. These TNF Venture pants do just as advertised, keep you dry! I pair mine with the Marmot Precip Jacket and have never thought twice about heading out in the rain. These pants do run a little big, purchased the medium and could probably have been fine with the small.

Side zip is the way to go

I learned my lesson: with side zip, I don't have to pull on the pants over muddy boots. 2 days ago, I did 7 miles in heavy rain and the pants did well, vs my raincoat, boots and cover for my backpack (all not North Face) which let the rain in until everything inside was soaked.

I use these to volunteer at a hospital for seals and sea lions. I have put my camera in the pocket and got the pocket wet and the camera stayed dry.

Took these pants to Alaska for Kayaking and Zodiac rides in the coastal rainforest. They look and fit great and kept me dry throughout the trip.

I tried lots of different rain pant styles until I found these. They are easy to get on an off, and the zippers glide smoothly, unlike some other brands.

These pants are the best I have ever owned at keeping me dry during rainy hiking. The side zippers make it easy to remove the pants without taking off your boots. The fit is true to size. Just a bit "noisier" than I had expected. I would definitely recommend them to spring hikers!
