My 15 Year Old Daughter Loves It!
February 07, 2012

Almost everyone we know has the Denali North Face Jacket, but I think this Wind Wall 2 Jacket is so much better because it gives the added benefit of wind protection. Typically, she leaves for school before dawn, so it's pretty chilly so early in the morning. With this jacket, she feels warm & toasty and she looks pretty cool. I, personally, am not crazy about the blue color but she loves it, so that's what counts!

I am a college student so i have to walk all around campus to attend my classes. I didnt want a heavy jacket to be carrying around so i purchased this jacket. I wear it everyday because its light and warm. I am really happy with this purchase. I really recommend this jacket, especially if you have to be outside for a long period.

nice comfy jacket
November 02, 2011

it's fit and not so bulky, perfect for spring and fall seasons in DC with nice enough wind protection for outdoors and breathable when indoors. Run a bit small so M size fits me well (5'4" ~120lbs).

Does not fit like the Windwall I
October 29, 2011

I ordered the same size as my beloved Windwall I jacket. The mid section was too tight to zip and the sleeves are approximately 3 inches longer. I was really hoping the fit would be the same, as I really wanted the thicker fabric and the hood. I am returning this jacket today.

i really like this jacket. it is very comfortable, warm, and soft. the only problem with it is that i feel it is too short. the hood is a good size, along with the arm length, but if the torso was longer it would be perfect.

This jacket is not as warm as I expected. It is overall a pretty stiff jacket. For a fleece, I would have expected it to be more flexible. On the other hand, it looks great and fits better than any other NF.

nice jacket, but small
August 17, 2011

I own several TNF jackets, in XS and S (5'2'' and 125lbs). I bought this in a S cause I heard it runs small, but even the small fits smaller than the others and is a little tight through the shoulders. It looks nice, is light weight but warm and is mostly windproof, so I kept it, but I probably need a M! Nice addition to the rest of my North Face collection!

Very comfortable and warm. I would definitely recommend it to anyone living in the cold. I am petite and got an xs and it fit perfectly. The only problem is the arm was a little too long so I rolled it up.

Great Mid-weight Jacket
May 23, 2011

I bought this jacket 3 weeks ago, and I think I have worn it every day since then. Great for the cool spring & fall weather in the Northwest. It's very warm for its weight, and I definitely notice the wind protection. I would have given this jacket a 5/5 if it was just a little longer. I am 5'10" and 150 lbs, with a long torso, and my shirts usually poke out the bottom of my Windwall 2, but it's still long enough to stay comfy. That being said, the Medium had sleeves that were still plenty long for me - one of the reasons I love The North Face so much! There is some discussion in these reviews about this jacket running small. I think that you need to think about the ways you would wear it to determine the size you need. I am usually a Medium in North Face jackets, and I stayed with that size in this case. I can wear it over a long sleeved shirt and maybe a lightweight fleece, but I can't fit more layers underneath my Medium. But, this size gives me a nice form-fitting shape (it is much more form fitting than in the picture). If I had gone with the Large I know I could wear it over more layers, but I doubt it would give me that same shape. I hope this helps!

Great jacket, weird fit
March 28, 2011

i really like this jacket - it's warm and super cute. However, it is true that the fit is a bit weird. For me, the longer-than-normal arms are great, but the shoulders are super tight. I have broad shoulders but don't usually have this problem with other brands. I decided to keep the jacket anyway because it's really so cute and warm.

Returned it
March 14, 2011

This jacket is made out of really good material and within seconds of putting it on I was gloriously warm. But - like some other reviewers mentioned - it's really short in the torso with long arms. I didn't mind the arms so much but the short cut in the torso made it look really awkward when worn with my jeans (especially the low rise ones). I should mention that I am short (5'4") and in theory I shouldn't mind a jacket with a short torso - but it's just *really* short. Also it's not really comfortable to wear because of the rigidness of the outside wind-proof layer. I have another Northface fleece jacket that is really soft and comfortable so I thought it would be similar so I guess I was just surprised at the material. Just not for me - your mileage may vary.

Great jacket, just small in size
March 12, 2011

I loved this jacket when it was delivered but it ran rather small. I was hoping it would fit similar to my Denali but it is MUCH smaller in size. I ended up giving it to my daughter and she wears it all the time.

Great fit, high quality
March 10, 2011

I typically wear a small (I have a small NF Venture raincoat), but the medium Windwall fits perfectly. This jacket is very fitted and flattering. The sleeves are a bit long, but the elastic at the wrist helps keeps them in place. I usually layer two fleeces, but the Windwall is all I need now- would definitely recommend!

March 10, 2011

Good Purchase
March 09, 2011

Very comfortable jacket. It feels a little snug in the waist area so layering up is not an option. The arms are a little bit long for me but I am petite so that could be why. Otherwise, it is a comfortable jacket that keeps me warm when the wind cold air is swirling. I recommend this jacket to others.

March 09, 2011

Love my new jacket, but wish it was not cut so small. I have a denali in the same size and it fits much bigger than this jacket. There is no way I could wear the size I ordered over a sweatshirt, but is fine over a tee or long sleeve.

Nice but stiff
March 09, 2011

This jacket is a very durable one and in 30 degree weather, I was fine with a tanktop and this jacket. The jacket is very warm and protects you completely from the wind, but it is a bit stiff. It's not comfortable like a pullover or zip up hoodie, and it's a bit short on my long torso. Other than that, this jacket is a good one if you don't mind the stiffness.

The jacket was great quality wise, but I am disappointed with the fit. North Face sizing varies greatly from jacket to jacket (which I guess I should have known) but I own other jackets in a L that fit a bit big, so I expected to XL in this jacket to be perfect, which it was far from. Just overall too small. Bummer.

Great alternative to Denali
January 02, 2011

Bought this for our daughter as a replacement for her 5 yr old Denali. She wanted one with a hood and considered both this and the Denali hoodie. She reports that this jacket has a more flattering fit (is more fitted) than the Denali and feels warmer, perhaps due to its windproof quality and its more snug fit. The Medium fits her perfectly - she is 5'4" 120 lbs. She also likes that while all of her college friends seem to have a Denali, she hasn't seen this one on campus yet (and it is much cheaper!). Would definitely recommend.

perfect!
January 01, 2011

I can't stand wearing bulky, hot and uncomfortable coats that make my chin itch in the worst way! I was trying to find something light weight without freezing. I own other north face products, this one is the best. It keeps you warm and you manage to comfortable. The material is soft, yet very thin. I love this product! The hood is also very helpful and I am so glad they added it! Plenty of pockets, they do not get in the way and are in useful locations. I am short, so the sleeves are a tiny bit too long, but I just fold them in a tad and it works!

just right
December 28, 2010

I ordered this jacket for my 24 year old niece. She is very tall, with long arms. The arm length on jackets can often be a problem, but with this jacket the length for the body and the arms were perfect. We had snow on Christmas Day, she left my house wearing her new jacket. She called later that night and said her jacket is warm and comfortable.

TNF Windwall II- Women's
December 27, 2010

As usual TNF delivers! I love this jacket, I have a Windwall I and now a Windwall II, they are both great quality. the only difference btwn the two is the hood. Its warm, durable, stylish and cuts the wind on my morning workouts. I usually wear a small or extra small in this brand but bought a medium for it to be comfortable with layers(it runs a little small). Overall a great jacket and I hope all you ladies out there consider this jacket, you won't be displeased.

Love this jacket. I have several TNF Jackets. I wanted a windproof fleece and didn't love the fit of the APEX Jacket so decided on this one instead. It's a tighter fit than the Denali Jacket, but I like it. The material is very soft and warm, and completely windproof! It's a very cute jacket too!

great company and product
October 31, 2010

I was very please with this company....fast shipping and great costumer service. This is a great jacket and would be very warm and cozy. Nice flattering shape but I agree with other reviews that said the shoulders are a little baggy. I unfortunately will be returning my Bordeaux Red jacket because it is not the color I expected (more of a purple then red). I will be placing another order for a different color:) Great site and company, great prices and free shipping...what more can you ask for! I will be giving this company my business for future orders:)

Buy this jacket!
June 12, 2010

I live in Florida, and I have bought dozens of jackets for myself and family from Altrec over the past four years. Each purchase was expeditiously and accurately handled. I love this Windwall jacket! It is lightweight, yet it totally blocks the wind & keeps me warm. The fit is comfortable, and the jacket has some styling to it. Easy to pack for travel. I have bought it as a gift for three other people who all love it, too.
