The North Face developed their BackSaver Technology by angling the bottom of the pack to shift the pack weight closer to your back, making the Yavapai ideal for moderate backcountry loads with a large hydration bladder or big campus projects involving a stack of reference material. Inside you'll find a Universal padded sleeve that easily adapts to fit most laptop computer designs or hydration bladders. A front tool loop and lash point gives the Yavapai more technical backcountry potential than most similarly sized daypacks made by The North Face. Amazing Backpack
I took a long time choosing the best backpack for myself. After also looking at the NF Isabella I decided I needed way more room and didn't want to look short with a short backpack anyways. It can get heavy but with the waist strap and chest strap a majority of the pressure is removed from my shoulders. My 15.4" laptop fits nicely inside and I can stuff a lot of books in too. Besides being a college student I'm also an avid hiker and love the outdoors. I've taken my Yavapai hiking/mountain climbing and it endured amazingly while scree sledding :) I love this back pack. It was a great investment and well worth it.

Best backpack ever.
I've used this bag aggressively for 5 and a half years. It is by far the best bag and I only wish they didn't stick that ugly triangle on the front pocket. I am starting to consider replacing it (with another Yavapai, of course) because, after more than 5 continuous years of use (summers and travel included), it is just starting to show its age. However, I believe it could last several more years at the rate I've been going.

great deal!!
This backpack works great for school, it carries all my books and even my laptop! The price was right too! The straps make carrying a heavy load easy, definitely worthy of buying.

Great bag!!
I love this bag. It has room for my laptop and all of my books. It is much more comfortable to carry around than any other backpack I have ever had.

awesome backpack
the recon could probably fit more books in it but the yavapai is much smaller and can easily fit into my tiny school locker

Functional bag.
Ample space and easy to carry. Holds everything I need. Really like the opening at the top of the bag for the Ipod earphones.

Great lightweight trekking
Great for lightweight short hikes or trail rides. Go with a camelbak for trail running as this is too large and jumps around a lot.
