Got this mat to use in Afghanistan to lay on the rocky soil and to help keep warm on cold desert nights and, for when I travel through Central America. So far so good. Ken

When I recieved the package, I didnt think anything was in it, to my surprise there was a SoLite sleep pad in it. Really impressed at how light and durable the pad is. The price was right on too, when your not into paying $100 plus for an inflatable that can get torn. Seems a bit bulky at this point, but after cinching it down a few times with some cord it should roll smaller and fit great on my pack.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueWrite a review for the Thermarest RidgeRest SOLite Sleeping Pad here.
Lay Down Sally

This is a very decent alternative to inflatables. It will not puncture. It helps retain heat while minimizing conduction losses. It rolls up into a reasonably small package that you can sit on if you wish to avoid a wet backside, etc. You can also fold it in half and get double the support for half your body. Try that with an inflatable. So if keep it simple is in your lexicon, try this thing out.
