It weighs 20% less than the original Standard™ but only sacrifices a quarter-inch of the LiteFoam™ core material. This reduced thickness has less to do with weight and more to do with ease of packing. The 72-inch GuideLite™ rolls up to a four-inch diameter. That's the same diameter you'll find for most shorter 3/4-length self-inflating mattresses. A Staytek™ Lite top fabric helps keep nylon sleeping bags from slipping off the mattress in the middle of the night.
