Great sleeping pad--5 stars
August 10, 2010

Husband is 6 ft and I am 5 ft 2 inches--both of us had a great night sleep. The camping pad was pebbles and we didn't even notice them. Very easy to use and rolls up nicely for carrying on pack. Loved them--just the right size and padding.

Great Price for a good Product

Light and sturdy! This is the best price I have found on this as well. just the right thickness where you are comfortable sleeping on the ground.

Very good sleeping pad

Have only had this pad now for 2 weeks but already has proved to be a very comfy pad and light to carry on a pack, would recommend the Trail Lite stuff sack to store it in. Altrec also has the best price I could find on the internet and with free shipping you cannot go wrong.

Amazing sleeping pad
August 11, 2010

Have used this pad for 2 days now in lake Tahoe. Its the best sleeping pad I have tried so far. I was very comfortable and the cushion is good enough. I have bought so many product from Altrec and their prices are very competitive and ships very fast.

Basic sleeping pad. Rolls up small - I prefer to get the smallest size pads because really I only need my back padded, legs can hang off. This way your pad takes up less space in your bag. This pad has served me well for many adventures, rain, etc. Good buy.

Pros: Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

Best Price on the Internet!
July 27, 2009

After one night on the ground (inside the tent of course) I decided right away that the Thermarest pad that I used while in the military was the thing for me. I researched and purchased this through Altrec with free shipping and it is wonderful. All Thermarest products require a little extra air to make them firm enough but make sure to store them unrolled to get the maximum self-inflation when you use them. They are great insulators from the ground and cold.

Just received, and very impressed!
May 11, 2011

Although we have yet to field test these pads, we have allowed them to inflate, and tested them out on the hardwood floors. I am pretty impressed with the comfort of this 1.5" pad. I'm a side sleeper so anything I can get to better pad my hips and shoulders is welcome. These were originally bought to use in conjuntion with our old rolled foam pads, but we may leave those at home this trip and just pack in these light and compact Trail Lite's.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use

Great pad and great price.

We bought this sleeping pad to use on our camping trip across the country from Virginia to Montana. We have had no problems with it whatsoever. The self-inflation claim is a little misleading, as some of the other reviews point out...you actually have to give it a couple of breaths to make it firm, but it's no problem. I would recommend this pad to anyone seeking a better night's sleep in the wild.

Trail Lite Sleeping Pad
December 11, 2011

it's a basic form pad but the pad serves my son very well. it is lightweight and self inflates (though i tend to blow more air via the valve). since it is only a foam pad, it serves my son better than me as i am a big guy. thus, reasonable comfort is achieved

Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost

Dang Fine Pad. Dang Fine Price
August 06, 2009

I purchased one at a local outfitter for $72 before uncle sam got his money too. I was leery about chunkin' that much change when I had two military foam pads anyway. But the fella at Sunflower in Lawerence had a table full of river rocks so you can try out the pads. I was amazed I couldn't feel one lump. I could've napped there if he let me. I bought one. Well, camping with my girlfriend, I didn't feel right hoggin it, so I let her sleep on it while I doubled upon the two foam ones. It was ok, but not as comfy as the Thermarest Trail Lite. Next time we went out it was on a river bank of rock. Once again, her-Thermarest, me-foam el doublay. It was ok, I guess, but when I took a nap on it during the day, I said "hell no - I am getting another one" So I researched and Altrec has the best deal out there- Heck of a price, free shipping - can't beat that. I can tell you these are durable and after many uses- no signs of wear - built to last. It's light too. Sleep is important - especially if you are in the wilderness. The ground will suck the heat out of you -This pad will ensure that does not happen as it also ensures you much comfort.

Best rest in 3 years
March 24, 2010

I had a hip replacement 3 years back. I tried several sleeping pads but found they were uncomfortable when I laid new hip side down. The trail lite pad worked great for me and would recommend to others that might be looking for a new pad.

A little big
December 25, 2010

I am 6'2" and weigh about 200 lbs. I bought this pad to use with the Big Agnes sleeping bag. However, the pad is too big to fit in the bag's slip. It is comfortable though. I would recommend this if you want something fit for a larger frame.

Pros: Performance, Cons: too big
