good pad, great price
July 16, 2011

I recently purchased the thermarest trail scout to replace my 20+ year old pad. The new one is good quality, inflates quickly, and is very comfortable to sleep on. The included stuff sack is an added bonus. It is about the same weight and comfort as the Prolite plus, which costs twice as much. My only gripe is that it doesn't pack down small enough, so it takes up a fair amount (6"x 9") of space. All in all a good choice.

Pros: Great value, Cons: doesn't pack small
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

Great Little Pad
August 07, 2012

I am a firm believer in the Thermarest brand. The quality they put out on their products cannot be compared to similar items. I'm an athletic guy, 6'0", 200lbs. I hike hard so when I finally get around to cutting some logs I look for a soft, comfortable place to fall. My Trail Scout is ALWAYS there. I love this thing. Some times I'll use it when I go to a relatives house instead of an air mattress. I have owned several of these #mainly becuase I use them a lot and somewhat accelerate the wear and tear# and am always coming back for the next generation. Highly, highly recommended for everyone.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: does not mix with sharp objects
