Pros: Build quality, Great valueMy third pair
August 11, 2010
I work at UPS and it's a tough job that requires you to have a sturdy work shoe and the Timberland Mudsill is the shoe for the job. It's my third pair and I will continue to buy them as long as they are available. It's the comfort of a running shoe and the toughness of a work boot.

I love my new Timberland Pro Mudsill Low Hiker Steel Toed Multipurpose shoe. The shoe was a little big, yet deep. Which was perfect for me. As I wear custom fit orthotics. The shoes fit me perfectly and are extremely comfortable. I would recommend purchase of a pair of these fine quality comfortable shoes.
Real solid work kicks

Hmm...what can I say apart from the fact that they are soo comfortable to wear and looks super trendy than the rather ugly looking work boots. I work with a german retail supermarket, so constantly on the move. Its given good support and the cushioning is heaven. And did I mention that they were Timberlands, am a sucker for brand names...lol

Great for work and play
December 27, 2012
Wonderful shoe. Stylish, great fit, durable, and great price. This shoe is very durable for work and will hold up to abuse. It look good and can be worn for play time too. I would recommend this shoe for anyone who wants a shoe that will last. I will always purchase this shoe.
Pros: stylish & durable, Cons: need more colors to choose fromshoes

Working in the oil field in an engine room on a boat. These are the best shoes for comfort and durability that I have found to date. Others say that they are for engineers but these truly are. Other shoes of this type fall apart quickly whereas these shoes last for a very long while. Wish they made them in XX size but the X wide does fit.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valuequick and easy

The shoes showed up 3-4 days after ordering
Couldn't be happier.

These boots feel great right out of the box. They are so comfortable, you really won't even notice the steel toes.
Mudsill

I ride a Harley and was looking for something other than the usual motorcycle boot for riding. Not what this product is marketed for, but they're great on the bike. Good grip on the footpegs and the steel toe keeps the top of my left foot from getting raw after hours of shifting. Nice grip on the pavement when stopped in traffic. Definitely a good value since most footwear sold for motorcycling is priced well over $100 a pair.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: noneFirst steel toed shoe that does not rub my foot

These shoes are very comfortable. Gel type of foam insert is really great. Like walking on marshmellows. Rubber toe sheild prevents scuffing.
Great Boot/Shoe!
May 22, 2010
They run a little big and you SHOULD buy them wide if you have wide feet! Other than that, they are great to work, walk, and stand in. Great boots!
Awesome Shoe!!! Perfect for Work!!

This is just what I needed for work. They are very comfortable. I normally wear a size 12 in New Balance and Nike I got a 11 and it fit pretty good. I do wear a thicker sock specifically for steel toes. Overall I am very happy with them. Thinking about getting another pair to put up for when these wear out.
Timberlin Mudsill steel toe work boot

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I PURCHASED THESE TIMBERLIN MUDSILL'S THEY WERE VERY COMFORTABLE FOR BEING STEEL TOE WORK BOOTS, THE SOLES LASTED VERY LONG. THE OUTER SHELL IMPRESSED ME ON HOW LONG THEY HELD UP DO TO THE RAIN AND HEAT IN FLORIDA. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS TO ANYONE WORKING OUT IN THE ELEMENTS ,AND ON YOUR FEET FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME .

Last forever, and comfortable.

I hop in and out of my work truck all day. Working at least 10 hours a day and my feet don't hurt. Very comfortable shoes.
Really good shoes!

If you want a pair of shoes that can take the abuse of long hard days on your feet, this is the shoe for you! They are comfortable, and take anything you can throw at them, (the exception being they are not waterproof). They stand up to everything from hiking, to standing on your feet all day, to roughhouse sports. The sole that Timberland put on these shoes will give you traction in any kind of weather! Wet, dry, snow or ice, it's all good! Plus they are made by Timberland and they are Pro's!, some of the best shoes made!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, good lookingI love my mudsill shoes

These are so comfortable and light it feels like your wearing broken-in sneakers rather than work shoes. The look and feel are so good I actually own two pairs.

Mudsill are built tough
August 07, 2010
I have bought a lot of "tactical cop shoes" thinking if they were made for a SWAT team they were tough enough to use in my job. WRONG! They all didn't last a year. I noticed some of my co-workers wearing Timberland shoes so I had to investigate. The design features in the Mudsill that caught my eye was the rubber toe shield, the use of double-stiching throughtout the shoe, all leather construction(except for the shoe tongue), and rugged shoe soles. I like the shoe lacing style with the last holes being hooks, which makes for easy egress. The padding in the shoes are pretty comfortable. The soles did not disolve when I stepped in skydrol hydraulic fluid (aircraft fluid), and the toe shield took a beating crawling in the cargo pit to remove the floor panels. Getting the Mudsill from Altrec was fast and easy, and what's best I got them in the width and length I wanted. No more settling for "standard" fit shoes that are sold at the local shoe store! I am a satisfied customer, I will always shop at Altrec.com.
Don't Recommend This Year's Mudsill
October 27, 2011
I've owned 3 pairs of Mudsill's over the last 4 years, so I think I DO know a bit about the product. This year, I ordered the all black pair (previous years it was the blue/tan). Upon receiving the shoes I was instantly disappointed upon inspection. Seems like the Timberland quality on these shoes has been in decline every year. Poor stitching, materials, & synthetic leather. It's a nice design, hopefully Timberland stops compromising quality.
Cons: Poor quality, poor materialsTimberland has put out another great shoe!

These Timberland Pro Mudsill steel toe shoes are very comfortable. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone who prefers low top shoes and if your job requires you to wear steel toe.
The most comfortable workshoe I have ever owned.

May 23, 2010
These shoes are light, very comfortable and easy to care for. The soles grip well but are not as long wearing because of that.
