Great "around town" boot
November 20, 2010
I've been wearing these boots for about a month and can honestly say that I'm quite the fan. Not only do they look good, I've had more than one friend comment on the great style, but they're comfortable as well. While they wouldn't be supportive enough for any type of backpacking, they're easily my choice for normal days around town. One word of advice, these boots really do run large. I'm usually a 9.5 or 10 and had to size down to an 8.5 size 9. Once I found the correct size they became my go-to shoe for every day living.
Pros: Great designGood bet for the money

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueGood Looking Boot
November 12, 2010
This is a nice, stylish boot. Very comfortable, but it does run large. I got a half size smaller than normal, and it's still slightly big, so if your foot isn't too wide, you could probably do a whole size smaller than you typically would. Overall, still a very good boot. I would definitely recommend it.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueVery comfortable and durable boot

This boot is very comfortable and durable. It runs a little big but good for me.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueRuns REALLY large
October 28, 2010
Handsome, well-made, comfortable shoes. But they run very, very large. I recommend getting them in a size that is at least 1.5 or 2 sizes smaller than your usual one. I had to return mine, even though I got them 1 size smaller than I do normally. Otherwise, great shoes.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueLOVE THEM!

I ware size 11 USA in nikes, and 9 1/2 in timberlands. So, I got size 9 in these thinking they run big...and they do. They fit perfect but I like my shoes tight on my foot so I ware medium thick socks with them.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGreat Boots

Great boots for winter, pretty light compared to snow boots and the waterproof leather holds up well, have had then for a year now and still perform great, wear them hiking, commutes in deep snow and in the rain and still love them
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceSo far, so good
October 16, 2010
Have only worn these boots for about a week, but they seem great so far. Good looking. Pretty comfortable. A winning purchase.
Killer boots
October 14, 2010
I purchased the Earthkeeper boot after searching for something casual, with a great look. I finally came across this boot and knew that it was the boot I wanted. The quality leather and waterproof quality were big selling points along with a high quality brand name. I got compliments the second I took them out of the box. Beware, they definitely run a full size too big-take that into account.
Pros: Great design, Build qualitygreat boot
October 13, 2010
very comfortable, look very nice. especially if you have bigger feet, they are not as bulky as others.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceGood looking, comfortable boot

Nice, timeless look and feel. Runs very large. I am normally a 10 or 10.5 and I bought a size 9.
Pros: Great designSomewhat dissappointed

I was looking for a good pair of boots that I could wear every day, yet last 4-5 years. I bought these boots, and was excited for their arrival. When they arrived I wasn't as impressed. They are good looking boots, but they do not look like they are worth what they cost. They did fit large, even after ordering a half-size down. I ended up sending these boots back because they fit large. Also, the soles on the boots appear as if they could wear really quickly, but I wasn't able to test this out. I hate to discourage to people from not buying these boots, because different strokes for different folks, but I would not buy these boots unless their price decreases considerably.
Casual shoe, not hiking boot
July 26, 2010
This is a nice and comfortable casual shoe with quality leather. However, if you are looking for a sturdy, waterproof hiking boot, look elsewhere. The sole on this shoe is thin and the tread is soft rubber that wears out quickly. Hiking on rocks will have your feet aching quickly, and while the leather will last, the soles were not made to. This is a nice casual shoe for around town, but it is not suitable for hiking. My rating is based on not being able to use the shoe for its intended purpose. I purchased these 2 months ago; they are still in good shape, but I'm shopping now for proper hiking boots.
Great Boots!

My husband is a teacher and I bought these boots for him as a Christmas present. He absolutely loved the style and weight of the shoe. I followed the advice of some other reviews and got a 1/2 size smaller but he could of actually used his regular size. The fit was a little snug.
Nice boots

Looks great. Make sure you get 1/2 size smaller than your usual size, however as I found they ran a big large.
Excellent QPR

I'm an ex 19-Delta from the Army and these were more comfy than any combat boot I've ever had to break in. Not too expensive, excellent support and strong stable base for hiking. Just hiked 5 miles a couple of weeks ago in very wet conditions, raining the entire time, and my feet remained completely dry (besides my sweat :) Would certainly purchase again. As others have noted though, between all my shoes/boots I wear a 11.5-12 depending, so I got size 11's for these and with my double socks (wickers and smart-wool) boots fit very comfy as noted.
Instantly comfortable, good-looking, somewhat waterproof.

As previously stated, runs big in sizing. I was hoping to have some real-world waterproof tests by now, alas the rain has stopped where I live. I called Timberland to find out why they don't list this as a WATERPROOF boot. They told me they used to, but have since discovered that it doesn't live up to their standards for waterproof. This indicated to me that it is probably a good boot to run around in the rain, but not for submerging in a creek. I think that with a good waterproofing treatment, this boot will be fine for everything I need it for, ie rainy hikes and wet pastures. A good seam sealer will probably take it to the fully waterproof level.
Great looking boot, poor sizing
May 03, 2010
Timberland sizing is at least 1/2 size off. Unfortunately, due to what seems like poor quality control, it may vary from 1/2 size to a full size. I have now bought and returned 3 boots due to poor sizing. If you can get a good fit, I'm sure this is a 5 star boot. I'm just a little frustrated right now.
great boot

Nice boots. I like it very comfortable, good leather quality. Fits excellent.
Coolest boots ever!
April 12, 2010
Waited months to find these in my size and in leather... After much searching found them on Altrec.com. The boots fit fantastic, the leather is of high quality, and the style is awesome. Everyone I have shown the boots to is impressed. Do follow the advice of everyone regarding size-- they run large! I normally wear a 10 1/2 to 11. I ordered a 10 and they fit perfect.
As advertised.

The 6-inch Leather EarthKeepers hold up to their hype. The leather is indeed waterproof and stylish to "boot." If you're looking for a practical yet casual boot, I recommend Timberland's latest Earth-friendly footwear.
Good boots
March 29, 2010
Like most boots, they do fit a size bigger, so wear huge socks. The are really light too. You're going to want to condition them, so they will get a shade darker.
Best Boot ever
March 15, 2010
Best boot I've ever tried on; instantly comfortable; very attractive; durable in construction and appearance; waterproof quality hugely practical; environmental materials meaningful to me; only regret was size was too big; a little too wide in the front foot section; even tried multiple sock layers to "make it work"; Returned only with regrets. Altrec service was great; easy return policy much-appreciated. Looking forward to future purchases.
Excellent Product - Excellent Service
March 10, 2010
A great lightweight, very comfortable boot, as others have mentioned it does fit a 1/2 possibly full size large. I normally wear a 10 1/2 or 11 and ordered a 10 based on reviews. The 10 fits me great. Service and delivery was excellent.
Too big!
March 06, 2010
Had to return mine. Nice looking but order 1 whole size down minimum. They also run quite wide.
Exactly what I needed
March 05, 2010
This boot is amazing. I got the lighter brown ones and they go great with a lot of my more casual clothes. Also feels very durable. It is definitely one whole size larger than your normal size. Luckily i read the reviews before i got it.
Great purchase

Your customer service was great. I ordered off of amazon and then checked back on your website, found a cheaper price and called CS and they refunded the difference. I will be back to order other items in the future.
Get a size down!!
January 28, 2010
Great boot. Very comfortable and waterproof. I wore them out in torrential rain the first time and my feet were totally dry. HOWEVER, definitely make sure you get a size down. i wear a US 9 and I got an 8.5, and they're still a bit big. Otherwise I love the boot. They have great traction on snow too.
Great boot
January 22, 2010
Very comfortable. Fit is a bit on the larger side.
Great boot. Well worth the money at this great price!
January 22, 2010
I would recommend these boots to any guy looking for a rugged yet stylish look. I've gotten lots of compliments on them. Please note, these boots run large. It was recommended to me to order a 1/2 size smaller and I did, but you will probably need a full size smaller for a snugger fit w/ regular socks.
great looking work boot
January 22, 2010
Boot runs larger by about 1/2 a size. Nicer looking than a regular work boot.
Well Recommended
January 19, 2010
Indeed water resistant Indeed stylish Indeed quite comfortable BUT...buy a size smaller for perfect fit. I typically wear 11.5, but had to buy a 10.5 for a true fit.
As advertised.

Awesome looking and functional
December 26, 2009
Got these for my birthday and love them. I work in the city so do a lot of walking and these break in real nice. don't feel like boots at all. leather is comfortable and water resistant makes them that perfect buy. Would highly recommend as a everyday (winter) boot.
Very nice boot!
December 26, 2009
Very soft leather boot. I would definitely recommend half size smaller. Look nice and comfortable. Great boot for the money!
