I just moved to a true winter climate where I will walk through snow covered streets on a more regular basis. I was looking for a sharp boot that I would be happy wearing out on the town with jeans. I purchased these Timberland boots and they are exactly what I was looking for. Stylish and functional!!
Stylish, sturdy, and comfortable!

Have been Timberland's fan for years. This is my 3rd one. The boots are stylish, very sturdy, and very comfortable, easy up easy off. Grip is super! I do agree with others review about the sizing, most (if not all) Timberland shoes run 1 size larger, you just need to know it and order 0.5-1 size smaller than your ordinary size. Altrec shipped them lightening fast. Another great buy!Pros: comfortable, stylish, sturdy

I purchased the boots to wear as casual wear for the winter months. The boots fit great right out of the box and were comfortable the very first day. I've owned other Timberland boots and all boots I've owned so far have been very comfortable. I definitely would buy again.Pros: comfortable right out of the box, great quality, size fits as expected
Gift - functional, classy

I purchased these boots for a friend, who had expressed interest in them. I own other Timberland boots, and have always been impressed by their durability and looks. these boots are no exception - they fit nicely on the line between utility and fashion. The fit was, as usual with Timberland, bigger than expected. He specifically liked the lower height of the boot, which made getting them on and off simpler. He has only had them for a brief period, but told me there are no structural problems or apparent lack of durability.Pros: style
Poor hidden quality

These boots look great, but looks are very deceiving. They run about a 1/2 size large, but the big problem is the whacky insole design that Timberland used for these. The insole has this large chunky bottom chanel of foam that is integrated into the sole of the boot. Once you pull the insole out, you see this huge gaping canal inside the boot where that chunk of foam sits. I then pushed on the outside of the sole and could feel just how stretchy and thin the outer sole really was. Trust me, you do not want to step on a nail or even a sharp piece of glass in these suckers. This also means you can't replace the insole with something better. If you want a pair of boots that will last you many years and miles, don't go with these. If you want a pair of powder-puffs with questionable quality, go for it!Pros: look nice on outside, Cons: terrible design flaw on inside
