Love this Boot!
March 21, 2012

This boot is a perfect fit, in my usual size of 11, and amazingly light. It was comfortable right out of the box. I've found it to be comfortable and get good traction on any terrain. Here in the southern Appalachians of Alabama, we have a lot of smooth limestone outcrops, the traction even on fairly steep slopes is not far from that of climbing shoes. I'm a sport rappeller, and the promise of light wieght and superior traction made me decide to try them. They live up to the promise! Altrec shipped them quickly, and they were well packaged. This is not my first purchase from altrec, and it definitely won't be my last!

Big shoes to fill
February 21, 2012

I was excited about these boots and so badly wanted them to work... I wear an 11 in tennis shoes and and vary 10.5 to 11.5 in boots. These were easily too large. The big issue( no pun intended) is the toe cap.It bends into my toes every time i step. I read another review on another site and copied their fix trying to cut some thin closed cell foam and create a "roof" in the toe cap which fixed the toe issue but as i was guessing the shoe was still just too big. For the price they should fit better and have such design flaws

Pros: lightweight
Cons: too big, Bad design

Awesome Boot
November 10, 2011

I do a lot of off-camber hiking on steep bluffs, and this boot provides excellent traction on hard-packed, rocky, and loose sand/gravel/dirt in wet, damp, or dry conditions. The boots are also very lightweight compared to my old hiking boots.

Pros: light weight, good grip, good ankle support, fits slightly large for large socks, good support
