Impressive Style
These boots were bought for my son for a Christmas present. The purchase was made only after thoroughly researching both price and quality of this boot. My son was very impressed with the comfort and fit of the boot. I would definitely recommend this Timberland boot.

Solid, Good Looking Hiking Boot
I really like this boot because it has a thick tread. I can wear it hiking or in I can wear it with khakis to work. Its stylish and solid. Very satisfied.

So Far So Good
I've only had these boots for a short time,but so far so good .Their comfortable on my feet,easy to walk with(fairly light),they keep my feet warm and i'm located in a fairly cold place.I've stepped into a deep puddle and the boots are definitely waterproof. They kept my feet nice and dry.I must admit ,i'm impressed.I'm 6ft tall and weigh over 200lbs.I wear a size 11 shoe or boot and have a very wide foot.These boots fit me perfectly( they offer a wide width as well as regular width).They fit so well ,that I didn't even have to break them in.If your looking for a great pair of boots ,I would highly recommend them.

comfortable & versatile
This is a very comfortable and functional boot. I was so happy to see it on your site because I bought same style last year as a gift for my cousin overseas. He loved it so much, he asked for a second pair! He wore these boots practically all winter, working in the olive groves as well as just walking around. The boot is very durable, very comfortable (no breaking in needed) and the waterproof feature is excellent. Great protection for any kind of outdoor work or hiking, but also good-looking and not too bulky for casual wear. The fit seems true to size - I ordered based on his European size and converted to US sizing and it fit fine, no issues. Note to Timberland - this model is a keeper!

Five Stars for a reason!
I've been wearing these boots for a little over nine months now. The fit was great right out of the box, needed very little breaking in as far as using it as a hiking boot. If you were just using this for everyday wear, they were good to go out of the box. The mid top is comfortable and provides some support without being overly encumbering, the waterproofing is awesome as it also keep your feet nice and warm when the weather is less than ideal. I spend eight hours plus on concrete, not an office, these boots are more than comfortable enough to wear all day. A couple of friends have purchased similar boots and have had to replace them after the same wear and tear. The only con I can think of, is that if you wear the boots long enough to were you're feet get a little sweaty, you may want to air them out the every once and a while, the waterproof feature not only keeps moisture out, but in. I will definitely be purchasing another pair when(if) these finally wear out.

White Ledge Mid-height Hiking Boot
This is my second pair of these super boots. The first pair is being saved back so my 10-year old will have a great pair of camping boots in about a year. If you're considering this pair of boots to use with thick hiking socks, order one full size larger than your current everyday shoe size. My street shoes are a men's 10 1/2. With the size 11, I had to use my regular cotton fluffy socks because the extra thickness of hiking socks had my toes hitting the front end of the toe box and that wasn't a good match. The size 11 1/2 is a good match with hiking socks, now. These boots are every bit a good as the reviews you've been reading. You can safely ignore the expectation that you should have to pay close to $200 for a high-quality boot. THIS IS THAT BOOT!..........for much less. You only need to chose the medium width or the wide boot size.

You can not go wrong with this purchase. I wear them for work in a prison and sometimes work 16 hour days in all kinds of weather. These have been very comfortable and lightweight.

Great waterproof boot
I purchased these boots this past winter since I am living in Bavaria, Germany. These boots fit to size and were comfortable from the very first time I used them. No break in period. They are very waterproof and have met every task I've done in the cold and often snowy Bavarian winter. I especially like the look and value that these boots provide. I am always a fan of Timberland and will continue to buy their products.

great light weight boots
a great pair of light weight boots. look good enough to wear to office and tough enough to use on trail. very comfortable and durable. would recommend theses boots for light hicking and also for just walking around tow.

Just what I was looking for . . . .
Very happy with this boot. I was looking for something that was close to being as comfortable as my summer / light weight hiking boot and would give me a little more support and most of all keep the water from tall grasses and low water streams out of my boot and keep my feet warm. This boot does it all and is just as comfortable as my summer light weight boot.
I'd highly recommend this boot and the price here at Altrec could not be beat! I'll be back Altrec.

This shoe is perfect! It's a good looking shoe that is both warm and waterproof. Best value on the website. I have used them in both snowy and rainy conditions and have had no issues.

Found the FIT!
Perhaps like you, I've spent way too much money searching for boots to fit my 11.5 wide feet. A lot of bootmakers simply don't make wide hikers, or their wide is not wide enough, or their wide is wide in the wrong places, especially in the heel. Well, these Timberland White Ledge boots are a great fit if you need them wide in the toe and across the ball of the foot, while holding your heel in place (especially important when using snowshoes). I ordered 12w for my 11.5w feet, just to be on the safe side, but 11.5w would have fit perfectly in the length.
These White Ledges are light and flexible. The toe box allows plenty of room on top of the toes and room for winter socks. The lug soles have an open pattern that doesn't hold dirt or snow, and the rubber gave good traction in today's slippery, slushy snow conditions.
Now, once I find a great fitting boot like this, I want it to last. I'll let you know more about their durability in a future review update.

Great boots.
I actually purchased these boots for my brother. He has called twice to say how much he likes them. He says the Timberland Waterproof is indeed waterproof and keeping his feet dry and warm in the rainy/some times snowy weather and provides him with all day comfort.

I bought these boots because of a recommendation from a friend. After looking at all the options I decided to buy these. Boy was I right! They offer the best value for the money. They offer great foot support and look great even with khaki pants. They are truly waterproof. All around great pair of boots.

I bought this boots for my husband and they look great on him. He stated they are very comfortable and excellent choice as working boots.
The only issue that if you consider to buy them you may go 1/2-1 size up.

Timberland convert
Fit better than most of my gloves, right out of the box, with no break-in needed. The leather is a darker brown and much better looking than in the picture. I wear them to work (it's Norway, which is more casual). Best of all is the accurate fit. I usually wear a 42 euro, & a 9-9.5 US. The 9 fits perfectly. Snug but not constraining.
Side note: After years of wearing Dr. Martens, I switched to Timberland when I discovered their chelsea style boots were more form fitting, without being constraining, and withstood serious water better. Been wearing these boots in the rain & mud, which is now snow and black ice, & the traction is very good. My feet have been warm, dry and enjoy the athletic-shoe fit and feel. For the price, they're a real bargain.

Excellent right out of the box

no brainer - good boot
my son's foot shot from a size 10.5 to 12 overnight and i needed to quickly get him a solid boot for a Boy Scout camping trip. the beauty of the White Ledge boot is that it does not need to be broken in. My son loves them and they were comfortable the first minute he wore them. they performed well as a medium action boot. Also a perfect boot for a ski trip - warm, good height for walking in fresh snow, ready for most mountain activities.

This is my second pair...
My first pair lasted about three years and I hated to get rid of them so when it was time to buy a new pair of boots I found them here, the cheapest anywhere, and ordered them on the spot. They lasted for years through snow, ice, water, mud. They are light and comfortable any time of year boot. Love them and great price.

I love 'em
I bought these for work boots because they are waterproof. These are the most comfortable and easiest to put on work boots that I've had in years. Because of the price I was afraid they might be a rip-off. No way, my feet stay dry all day and are not sore in the evening when I take them off.

Great fitting Boot
The Boot fits great and has very good traction. I've been using them in the snow to walk the dog. I get good traction and they are waterproof. I'd buy another pair when these wear out.

Best Boots I've ever owned
I've worn them every day, year round, for 7 years. The sole is flat, the waterproofing gone at 5 years, and my wife begs me to get new boots, but they won't wear out.

Hard to beat for the price
I am very pleased with this boot. I wear daily to walk 3-4 miles mainly on mountain dirt roads and trails in the Smokies. Very light weight, good fit, waterproof in wet grass and even wading through shallow creeks. So far after 2 months wearing very well.

great boot. no break in time
This is a really comfortable boot. My job requires me to stand and walk a lot. Even right out of the box with out any break in time my feet were extremely comfortable being in them all day. I just wish the back was a little bit taller, other wise nothing wrong.

Comfy!
Great boots. They felt comfortable right out of the box. I have had multiple surgeries on my left ankle and these boots support it and feel great, even after wearing for the whole day. I'm wearing them now for everyday activities, instead of just camping with my son's Scout troop.

I love them!
I didn't have time to break my boots in since they arrived later than I had expected, but that didn't matter. The first time I used them was on a 10 mile hike up to Harney Peak in the Black Hills. Most of this trail was steep and rocky. The boots performed wonderfully with my feet feeling great both during and after the hike.

Good Boots
I wore the boots to hike Berchtesgaden National Park and Tegelberg in Germany. The boots were excellent for hiking. However, see to it that they are not worn for casual walking. The rugged build of the boots made quite uncomfortable for long haul casual walking.

Awesome Work Boot
Tough, rugged work boots. I spend a lot of time climbing and inspecting roofs; these boots have a good sticky sole that really lasts a long time. I wear these every day for work & they usually last about 6 months. I wear out the sole before anything else- the rest of the boot continues to look great.
