I like to use this as my carry on bag when I travel because it has lots of pockets for multiple items. It is also nice because it is large enough to put magazines in it, plus other items. It is great as an everyday bag. I wish it just same with padding for the strap.

Great size, durable, looks great. I use it for the gym and when I go to work via train. Waterproof inside so great for taking to the pool also.

More than a fashion statement - a great way to haul your stuff whether by land, sea, or air - comfortable on a bike ride - but also works on a grocery shopping trip.

Great bag, nice organiser inside, sturdy material, BUT BUY THE PADDING FOR THE STRAP! I rode only about 10km and ended up with a nasty red mark across my chest because the strap material is quite coarse.

Timbuk2 definitely makes a high quality product. The bag is extremely functional and very durable. You will absolutely get a lot of wear and tear out of this one. However, because of the size of the classic messenger and the potential to hold so many things, you would think that Timbuk2 would already include a shoulder strap with the bag, right? Go figure. I also wish that there was a size in between the medium and small. That said, overall, it's still a very functional bag.

I really like my messenger bag, it's great for class and hauling books all over campus. Although, one aspect I think would add a ton to the bag is a padded shoulder strap, my books are heavy therefore my shoulder would like a little lovin'..
