Most comfortable shoe ever.
May 13, 2011
I have worn many different brands of trail shoes and none has ever felt this good on my feet. out of the box, took them on a 6 mile trail walk and came back with no hot spots, no foot fatigue at all. In fact it felt like I was wearing slippers they were so comfortable. Fit is spot on true to size.
Pros: lightweight, comfort, fit around heel, Cons: i only bought one pairAlready own the TrekSta Evolution II Trail Running Shoes? Tell us your thoughts.
Men's Evolution II Trail Running Shoes
November 23, 2011
Me feet get hot easy so I was looking for non gortex shoes. When I first got them the top inside of the left shoe right behind the lace hole had a bump that rubbed my foot (was a joint in the material). I called Treksta and they recommended just wearing around the house for a few days. I took some pliers and smashed the bump down a bit and after a few days I didn't notice it anymore. These shoes hug your foot and if they fit your foot they are great. Not as cushy, roomy, slipper type like the merrel moab, so if they don't fit you may not like them. After 3 six mile hikes all up and down hills I am very please with them. Snug up the lacing and no toe bump coming down steep hills, which is important to me and why I didn't go with moabs. My feet slipped around in the moabs too much. Traction seemed very good, held on the rocks very well and pretty good on wet rocks (unless there was moss, which no shoes would hold on to) So far I am happy with my purchase as long as they hold up well. Too soon to tell that yet, but they seem well made.
My new favorite brand...

I purchased the TrekSta Men's Evolution Mid GTX Hiking Shoes from Altrec a few weeks back and was so impressed with the boots I ordered the trail runners... at a great price as they were on sale. I'm a big fan of the NestFIT system... the Evolution line of shoes are extremely comfortable. The IceLock/HyperGrip sole provides excellent grip in wet or dry conditions. Lightweight and breathable these make awesome all around warm weather performance shoes.

Amazing fit

I have a wide foot and generally I must buy a shoe that's a bit too long to get a comfortable fit. Not with Treksta. They've created a shoe that actually resembles the real anatomy of the human foot, based on scanning 20,000 volunteers. These shoes have no break in time, are light, cool, easy to travel with, and provide the protection I need for running over rocky trails in New England. Highly recommended!

Great fit!

After seeing a video on how Treksta creates their shoes using a foot shaped last I decided to try them out. As an overpronator with a wide foot I'm always on the lookout for a supportive shoe with a wide toe box. These shoes are really great. (I've since bought 2 more pairs.) They are really supportive and feel very natural on my foot. Very little break-in time needed. Highly recommended. One note is they tend to run a half size small for me. I usually wear a 9 but I wear an 8 1/2 in Trekstas
Pros: great fit, very supportive, look goodGreat All-Purpose Shoe

I was looking for a rugged, warm-weather trail shoe for trekking and general travel. I saw the reviews for the Evolution's hiking boot version, and figured that the same features would apply to the basic trail shoe. They did, and I couldn't be more pleased. Despite being a difficult foot to fit (a big guy (6'4", 225 lbs.), with a low arch [wide feet], and an overpronater), the Evolutions fit like a glove from the start. Their arch support was noticeable, but quickly formed to my foot, and all the research Treksta claimed they put into their Nestfit system sure worked for me. The shoe is lightweight, and the mesh is cool enough so far to be comfortable in warm-weather use. Support on this shoe is excellent (I normally use the Brooks Beast for my running shoe), and it has performed well in all manner of tasks: running on the street and in the field, hiking, city walking, and sports. The grip is pretty unbelievable: the sole literally sticks on all surfaces, wet or dry. I liked this shoe so much that I convinced my wife to buy a pair of the women's version of this shoe: it is now her all-purpose hiker, as well. Like the men's version, though, she also had to size-down a 1/2 size, as both shoes run a litter bit larger than the size indicated.
Pros: fit, support, grip, style, Cons: runs 1/2 size largeAlready own the TrekSta Evolution II Trail Running Shoes? Tell us your thoughts.

This is my second pair of Treksta shoes. Without a doubt, these are the best fitting shoes for my feet that I have ever purchased. The "nestfit" actually works. I walk several miles per week around NYC, and when I wear these shoes I do not develop hip or lower back pain. I wore my first pair this winter and the outsoles w/ Icelock helped a lot with the icy sidewalks.
