Best Alternative to Lynx II
We bought this boat because our kids are getting older and want to join us on trips more often. This boat is a good alternative to the Lynx II for roughly half the price, but does not compare in quality or durability. It's also a bit heavier. There really is alot to be said about the longer warranty on the Lynx II vs. 1 year (very limited) on the Trib. If you are only floating on lakes or very mild rivers it's great but don't expect it to hold up in whitewater or rocky beds. My friend bought one at the same time as us and his floor ripped on the first use as well as a seat strap breaking. Aire would not repair the floor as it was not covered but did agree to repair the seat strap. You really do get what you pay for.

tomcat tributary tandem
Awesome boat for one, two, or two and a dog. Great in the whitewater(fast bailing) yet tracks well on the flats. Bought it for easy days with wife and I aboard, but have used it more solo in the rapids!

Class 3-4 in Chile NO SWEAT!
I recently returned from a trip to the Azul River in Patagonia Chile. I had the fortune to use the Tributary Tandem and it was amazing! Took a beating and kept on going keeping us safe and secure. No Sweat! An awesome Kayak and an awesome value!

Well made but don't buy it for lakes;
My husband and I tried this in a lake but it needs a skeg. Aire does not provide one for tandems so I am searching alternatives. We like the stability and quality of the boat but it is difficult to paddle in flat water.

Love it
I've had my boat for a year now. Great fun! Very stable and forgiving. Best entertainment I've purchased in a long time. It has served me well in up to class 3+/4- rapids. Sturdy. Has skimmed some pretty sharp rocks and taken them in stride with little sign of abrasion. Two buddies have followed and purchased same boat.
