Description

As cool as Grandpa's old wooden snowshoes with the rawhide laces are, hang them on the wall where they belong, and head out on a pair of Men's Tubbs Mountaineer Snowshoes. The durable lightweight aluminum frame is sized and shaped for a man's gait, and the abrasion and puncture resistant (down to -40 degrees F) deck, will have you floating through all your adventures. R2 stance articulation allows your foot to achieve a more natural position, while the deck of the snowshoe mirrors the slope. This makes sidehill, and off camber terrain more manageable and enjoyable. It also allows the tail of the shoe to drop more easily, shedding snow and allowing more precise foot placement. The ActiveFit+™ binding cinches quickly with a gloved hand and can accommodate up to a size 13 boot. And under both the binding and heel, crampons bite in for exceptional grip. There's also an ActiveLift™ heel bar for reduced calf fatigue on steep terrain. Meant to be an all-round workhorse, heading out on the Mountaineer Snowshoes for men from Tubbs would make Grandpa proud.

Men's Mountaineer Snowshoes 5 5 2 2
Awesome Shoes for a Great Price! Tubbs mountaineer are loaded with great features from the anaconada/python crampons, to the superlite aluminum frame, and the active fit binging and active lift heel lift. These are by far the easiest to put on and take off snowshoes I have ever owned/used. They are comfortable to wear for hours and never have to check the bindings. The crampons bite into everything giving you a rock solid platform, yet they don't seem to pack full. One of my friends liked them so much, he bought a pair for himself. And I bought pair womes's as an upgrade for my wife. January 6, 2011
great versatile snowshoes for all conditions I have used these snowshoes in telluride CO in pretty much all types of conditions, terrain, and paces. From casual walks in the backcountry to aggressive hiking/light running up trails or mountains, this shoe has served me well for this season. I would recommend it to others who don't need a classic or specialized snowshoe but need something flexible and versatile to handle whatever nature throws. Perfect for the winter camper or backpacker. January 3, 2011
