I sometimes have to work outdoors during the winter for extended amount of hours and this works excellent!
Under Armour Base 3.0
March 05, 2011
I purchased a set of UA base 3.0 for me and one for a lady friend , I can tell you honestly that both sets are enjoyed and appreciated on winter nights. The material has a good feel and the "compression fit" is actually tight enough without giving you a binding feel. I have read other reviews that complain about the long sleeves but I find the extra length to be just right because if you use a second layer the 3.0 base extra length in the sleeve can create a "seal' around your wrist and that helps keep you warm . I find it good quality but I think it is overpriced like all UA products , but I bought it and am happy with it.Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost

Under Armour has always been a great product! I tried this item and I feel that it ran kind of small. I understand that it should fit tight but it was not comfortable and did not allow sufficient movement. I ended up trying a different but comparable item.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: fit tight

Haven't used the product in extreme cold yet, but it made me sweat in just cool weather. If you need something for those bitter cold days, this will take care of you.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

I purchased this to wear outdoors during the several hours I volunteer at the local Humane Society shelter. This is a great base layer and being that I am always cold I was very pleased at how warm I have been able to stay with this on!

I can't wait to try these. They look so warm and comfy. They are definitely very well made. I wish they hadn't been so expensive but if they keep me warm riding the motorcycle in the winter they will be worth every single penny!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
Great Base Layer! Very Warm!
February 16, 2011
I own several base layer shirts and by far, the Under Armour ColdGear Base 3.0 (size Medium) is the warmest and most comfortable base layer that I have. The soft waffle fleece makes this shirt very stylish and very warm. I am 5'7", 165 lbs and around the chest/shoulders, the fit is snug but not tight or restrictive. The length is true to size. The Base 3.0 is also surprisingly thin and lightweight. If you're planning to be outside, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these shirts - you won't be disappointed!Pros: Great design, Performance, very warm, Cons: Cost
Great Base Layer!

Under Armour's Base 3.0 Crew is very warm and comfortable. It is very soft against the skin and I found myself wearing it throughout the day and not only on the ice. It breathes, doesn't make you sweat, and does what its supposed to do by keeping you very warm! Combine it with the Base 3.0 leggings and you will stay warm all day long!Pros: Build quality, Performance

this base layer has performed very well in recent 20 degree weather while undergoing low exertion activities (mostly long walks around town). the fit is very comfortable and mostly true-to-size; but snug, as you'd expect.
OK, Somewhat Warmer

These are warmer than conventional thermals but not as much as I expected for the price. You still need a jacket for cold weather. I purchased them for off road motorcycle riding and was hoping that they would be warm enough to ride without a jacket. They do wick perspiration away from your body well.
