Proaid Rashguard Fitting
December 29, 2012

Having just received my Proaid Rashguard shirt, I can't comment on it's performance (though I suspect, based on the quality of the material, there will be no issues with it's performance) this review is simply in regard to the fit of this rashguard. I'm 5' 91/2" and 154 lbs, with an athletic build; I fall into the "Medium" catagory for most measurements. The description of this rashguard gives the impression that these shirts are form fitting, rather than loose fitting. I own several rashguards already, both short and long sleeved. With the exception of one long sleeved "loose fit" styled rashguard, all of my other rashguards are "form fit" styled, and depending on the brand, and the tightness of the cut, I wear either a size "L" or "XL", as a "form fit" style rashguard usually fits very tight. For that reason, I ordered a size "L" in the Proaid Rashguard. Upon trying the rashguard on, I found that through the torso region, the shirt fit more like a "loose fit" style then a "form fit" style; not baggy, just a bit loose, which was a bit of a surprise. Under the arms, however, the shirt felt slightly tight (I do a lot of swimming and weight lifting, which causes my back to have a bit more width then the average "medium build" person). I thought of returning the "L" for a "M", but quickly nixed that thought, as I knew a "M" would be too tight under the arms. So, for sizing, I'd say that if you have a regular build, as opposed to an athletic build, then the Proaid Rashguard will run pretty true to size for you. If you want a tight fit, order your true size; if you want a slightly looser fit, order one size up, and if you have an athletic build, and don't want the circulation in your under arms to be cut off, order one size up. Color wise, for me, the color you see on line is true to the color you will get.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, great color (deep purple), Cons: snug cut under the arms
