Vasque Women's Mantra Cross Training Shoe

A multi-sport shoe for the woman who does a little bit of everything, the Vasque Mantra Hiking Shoe serves up comfort whether test-driving a new mountain bike, hopping boulders along a river bank, or setting out on a long day hike. A large portion of the upper consists of a thick 1.8mm water resistant nubuck leather which looks great but is also durable and protective. Panels of breathable airmesh compliment the leather, providing comfort during warm weather and extended outings. The Vasque Women's Mantra Hiking Shoe is equally comfortable underneath the foot as it is on top. A molded EVA midsole and dual density EVA footbed provide cushioning while a molded thermoplastic urethane plate offers support and stability to easy the strain of uneven terrain and encourage healthy biomechanics. All of this protection and support isn't much good without an outsole that grips on varied surfaces. That's why Vasque called on Vibram®, the renowned leader in hiking boot outsole design, when selecting a tread for the Mantra Hiking Shoe. Known as the Ananasi outsole, this sophisticated Vibram® tread grips challenging terrain even when moving at a fast pace.

This is my third pair of Mantras
These are great light hikers. Extremely durable and comfortable.

I LOVE these trail shoes!
Wow. I honestly did not expect these shoes to be as good as they are for $50. First, they are form fitted so my ankle does not slide (unlike Keen's which are too roomy) Second, the laces are sturdy, as you would expect with hiking boots (vs. North Face stringy laces which won't hold) Third, the body of the shoe is extremely well made and feels sturdy - while there is still ample room in the toe bed Last - they are actually really good looking shoes. I've been looking at trail shoes for months now and I was shocked at how cute these are. As for size, they seem true to fit. I am somewhere between an 8 and 8.5, I chose the larger size just in case. I have plenty of room. Thanks Altrec!

Incredible Comfort Level
These are my second pair of Vasque Cross training hiking shoes. I generally hike and walk in the Adirondacks and Scotland. Most recently wore my Vasques in Germany and by far are the most stable,comfortable shoes I own. Highly recommended.
