5 out of 5

So I'm a big Zamberlan fan of boots. They are durable, hearty and cleanly designed. That said, they are very heavy and often a bit of an overkill. So I was worried about these shoes. Approach, Zamberlan? No worries - they nailed this one. Comfortable out of the box. Great wide toe box for me. Sole is appropriate and seems durable - vibram. Not as sleek as the 5.10's I normally use, but certainly a bit heartier - as expected. And honestly, since my 510's break down quickly, I welcome this bit of increased leather and sole. Nicely done Z.
Good Approach Shoes

Zamberlan 105 is a pair of shoes for casual wear and casual climbing. Backpacker magazine said this shoe can be used for hikes, I don't oppose that, but don't expect too much. If you really want hiking shoes, go find serious hiking shoes. I also tried this for two hours of climbing. It got the job done. Not as good as climbing shoes, but good enough to say these can climb. These shoes are great for those people who love to try new things, experience new stuffs. 105 can give you some support of almost everything.
Black, Dark Brown/ Almond and Navy/ Grey.
