Great shoe
January 11, 2012

This hiking shoe is the best that I have, and I tried several other high-end brands. It true to size, but maybe a little roomier that other shoes of the same size. My feet stay dry with the Goretex liner, and I even wear these snoe showing.

Pros: comfortable & durable

These Zamberlan's Rock!
May 25, 2012

After trying many different brands of hiking boot, including Lowa, Scarpa, Timberland, and Vasque, I have finally found a boot that is both wide enough, AND with a sufficient amount of room in the toe box (instep) area, to fit me comfortably! I want to be clear that all the aforementioned companies make quality products; My only issue was the height and volume of the toe box, simply because of my particular foot shape and characteristics. In addition to having a very generous amount of room in the toe box (I have an unusually high instep), these Zamberlan boots are quite well-made, well-padded, with concealed laces, a nice gusseted tongue, and a very grippy Vibram Lite out-sole. Plus, the Gore-Tex lining makes them a good option for hiking in wet climates. Additionally, since they are made of quality Nubuck leather, they are a handsome shoe that works in a business casual office environment as well as on the trail. Thus, I highly recommend these Zamberlan 204 Oak GT Low Hiking Shoes!!

Great Light Hiking Boot
April 30, 2012

The Zamberlan Oak Low GT is a superb light hiker. I've tried a bunch of light hikers as well as backpacking boots over the years and for me Zamberlan boots have the most support and comfort. They run about a half size long compared to other manufacturers. I usually wear a size 12, which in most companys shoes is a European size 46. However Zamberlan's size 12 is a European 47 and their 11 1/2 is a 46. So consider ordering a half size smaller. Other than that, the extra price you pay for a well made Italian boot is well worth it. I own only two pairs of shoes; these and a pair of Zamberlan Vioz GT boots. The only shoes I've found that give me support and comfort in one package.

Pros: comfortable, supportive, well made, sturdy, Cons: sizing difference
