When I was initially considering carrying cases for my yoga mat I was looking for a closed bag since that's what I've had experience with. My old bag had a few problems: it had an opening only at one end and the mat was a bit difficult to slide into the bag; the bag's straps were thin and dug into my shoulders when I carried the mat; and the top of the bag frayed over time with repeated use. This carrier solves all of those issues plus adds so many more features. I was initially worried because my new yoga mat rolls up very thick and I wasn't sure the carrier's straps would fit around it. When I got the carrier, I was excited to see that the straps that secure the mat are durable elastic with a good amount of velcro. It's snug, but it holds the mat really well and I don't have to tug and stuff to get it into a bag. The carrier's straps are thick and don't hurt my shoulder, even with such a heavy mat. There are pockets, both zippered and latched, that hold keys, cell phone, and extras, and I can lay my towel over the top and carry it all in one neat bundle. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend this product to anyone needing a good carrier, so long as you aren't needing to strap it to your back in a vertical position (such as bike riding) whilst transporting it. On another note, I originally ordered this from secondary source and had a problem with the shipping, which they would not resolve. In a panic to receive it before the holidays, I called Altrec and the man who took my call went way above and beyond to help me. Their dedication to customer service was outstanding and will definitely earn my repeat business.

I have a thick Pilates mat that I would carry rolled up under my arm; what a nuisance. Then I found the Zobha mat carrier at Altrec. I love it!! This carrier has so many pockets to hold keys, cell phone, hair ties etc., and the velcro straps hold my mat securely. The shoulder straps make this so convenient to carry my mat to class. The best mat carrier I have found. Why fight with trying to slide your mat into a bag when you can buy this one. Order it, you will be glad you did.
